Completely fair point you raise there.
BRING BACK THE PIANOS, THE RIFFS, THE STABS, THE HIGH PITCHED VOCALS ala 1994-96. Good years.
Some good stuff around but the only track in the last few years to make the hairs on my back stand was 'Rock This' : Gammer.

just those are good enough for me.
Bored of some of the breakdowns you get these days where theres one piano note to a bar. Boring as ****. There has to be a particular melody in a piano riff tbh, rather than piano chords striking once every bar lol
Edited because my spelling is going down the pan.

I wouldn't mind seeing a resurgence in this style. Honestly I see Hardcore going in every direction nowadays I really wouldn't care since it got us new material.
ie Freeform, Funkot, Makina, Breakbeat, that weird Electro stuff, normal cheesy Hardcore, J-Core etc

both makina and j-core aren't exactly new, and makina is original not a hardcore genre, just closely related, like the bounce stuff

It's too hard to dance to. It'll never go massive.

I doubt that! It's just people these days don't want to move around that much:
1) Sweating gets equalized with disgust, so people rather stand around and step with their foot than freaking out (guess why Minimal is popular these days).
2) Lack of creativity and enthusiasm for anything!
3) Going mainstream is fashionable atm. Don't try to be yourself, if you want to avoid ignorance.
4) People are so easy to get satisfied today. It's less difficult to listen to wishy-washy music, than spending hours, only trying to understand one single track or doing some research generaly. Media only exist to entertain you without having to move a single finger of your own.
