I agree with Em about Hardcore being more interesting, with a dedicated following :) If people rip into it let them, its not like they're gona hurt the music! Music is indestructible as I see it, sound is never gona go away.

hahahahahahahahaha how can someone into uk hardcore say house sounds gay?

Have you listened to some of the sing a long hardcore at the minute, proper poofcore and i see everyone singing along together to it lovin it at uk raves.

Infact there the most popular tunes.

Not really my mate dj's tough electro house all of them hate r+b and cheesy funky house. He actually buzzes of freeform and my bouncy techno and gabber, cant put everyone into house into that mainstream box.

I'd listen to acid house, old piano stuff or the new electro over the weaker hardcore anyday i find it a lot less "gay" sounding.

The simply answer to that is open your mind and broaden your musical taste

imo the house that is getting released at the min is 10 x better than any of the new UK hardcore

i spin quite alot of house and no i don't like r&b, but just cause i spin house doesn't mean i don't like other styles, as i have mentioned numerous times on this forum i love hardstyle and that is my prefered music although i don't have the option to spin that week in week out as in my area there is not really a big demand for it!

i also listen to quite alot of techno which by no means of the imagination is "gay"

last point have you been to any venues that play house? in my area if your wanting a lady for the night i'd strongly advise going to one, any time i go to them i am never dissapointed

where as when you are in a sweat box of a venue and theres mad men jumping about like they are possesed with there tops off, wearing track suit bootoms and sweat dripping from the roof, in my experience this normally makes pulling a lot harder

so if you think listening and attending house events makes you gay, well i must be gay but believe me this gay shags more woman than u!!!

tbh, i like it when "mainstream" people don't like hardcore. Why would you get pissed off? its more special when its kept to a select few friends.

Its better the more underground it is. also proves artists arent in it for the money...

I agree, liking Hardcore makes me who I am. If everyone else liked it then I would have some battles and arguments that would end up lasting for years!!!

WOW man relax, some fair comments but you dont know me..

1. I have a very open mind and broad taste when it comes to music, from pop to rnb to trance to hard trance (preferred), psy, progressive, epic to hard house to hardstyle there is even some classical music I like. But popular house - funky/electro/progressive I cant get in to and thats my choice (and beleive me i put the effort in to enjoy it)

2. I love hardstyle aswell. Rough, unpredictable, heavily distorted kicks, LOVE IT!

3. I dont remember saying 'techno' was gay?

4. Yep, irelands biggest club "Lush" Portrush, house every weekend. Deep Dish, Erik Morillo, Sasha etc etc, been to see them play and wasnt impressed, bar the night Deep Dish played nalin & kane - beachball which is trance (bear in mind house played all night) and the crowd was dead moving to the house music untill beachball came on where they all went mad and actually started to look like they were enjoying themselves!

5. Who said anything about pulling, were talkin about music here. (And I always pull no matter where i go! haha [:P]
