yeah but the thing is Clarkee, they've been spashing the cash last 2 years even before they got the Carrick money, and the way it is today u don't get all the money upfront anyway! We've only just started to spend our ****** money after 2 years!

True, Spurs have always spent a lot, we're just lucky that our chairman is a real Tottenham fan and has been his whole life - Lucky he owns a multi-million pound business as well!

If you look at the last 10 years or so, worryingly you'd see that Spurs are in the top 3 spenders every season. It's fair to say that before the Martin Jol era, we were wasting our money!

Spurs are one of those teams that are on their way up, they're getting better all the time. Jol has done a great job for them, they have some good players and play ok football now. Good on them (still hope they get relegated along with the other 18 teams that aren't Everton).

Its a well run club and has been for years. They are around the 7th Richest club interms of turnover. The problem for them in the future is White hart lane. To be able to sustain a push into the top 4 or even to sustain their current position they will need higher gate reciepts or money from a benfactor.

Villa takeover has been announced to the stock exchange £62.6m. Hopefully O'Neill might have a bit more cash to improve the squad before the end of the transfer window.

You never know we might even be able to get some full time ground staff.

Would be good for football for Villa to start doing something, we need teams like Villa to keep going, not the likes of Wigan. Who needs them, they just eat pie's and play rugby, not football!

Indeed who else has a stand you can drive under in this country. Cant help thinking O'Neill may be the wrong man for the job though.

Not strictly Premier League, but good win for England lastnight. Although it was a sub-par Greece I thought England played well. Excellent way for McLaren & Terry to start out in their new roles

Of course, some of us started 2 weeks ago!

My beloved Barnsley off to a decent start in the Championship with 6 points from the first 3 games :)
