The big fuzz came at least here because all the migratory birds came back for summer. After all the hype the press tryed to make, eventually people believed the scientists that the possibility for getting bird flu is pretty much impossible. So after nothing happened, the press didnt have much to write about it anymore.

It's all about good hygiene.
We took preventative measures so the threat never really made it here. The birds that were infected soon got dealt with

you reckon ud enjoy a sort of 28days later scenario, where the whole country is deserted?
And if you had a choice to have 1 person left would it be your best mate or your gf/bf?

Bird Flu in my opnion at the time was just a way for newspapers to sell more copies as they use scare tactics, like with this recent apparent surge in knife crime. Suddenly it seems that everyone is geting stabbed left right and centre but its probably no different than before.
Anyway I'm no scientist but considering we are in the summer, I thought that any kind of flu is non-existent at this time. We may be safe now but come November, it may return and all the hysteria will probably start again

Well considering it's avian flu and not the human form of flu, then you would expect that it would be more of a risk during the summer whilst the birds are in the country, and not in the winter when they have migrated for the season.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
