Yeah but it's also known that smoking can give you lung and mouth cancer so bringing cancer into the argument probably isn't a good idea.
Personally I hate Ganja for what it did to my mental health but I still think there is no point in it being illegal. As for getting done for dealing with 5 grams!!!? That's ridiculous I used to get through an eighth to a quarter of skunk a day... 5 pills as well! Christ. If anything they should be bringing up the weights/quantities of what counts for personal use, that way the police could spend time catching criminals instead of innocent peeps just getting wrecked of a weekend.

30 quids worth? Ide say about a 5ers worth...
Anyway, I dont think they should legalise it, maybe legalise it so its legal to be ingested instead of smoked, but the last thing the government was is more people giving themself lung cancer and draining more money from the NHS.
Personally I think anyone who inflicts peronal harm knowing the effects like smoking and drinking too much should forfit their right to free healthcare when it comes to lung cancer, liver problems or anything that is basically their own fault...

What's your point? I'm not saying a ban on cigs and beer, people are still going to drink and smoke, they should just have to pay for the consiquences and not everybody else...

^^^ But they do pay for the consequences in the form of tax. Smokers over a 30 year period for example wil pay thousands in direct taxes that go mainly to the NHS. If they don't wanna pay the tax, then they quit.
Anyway some of the dieases that smokers get, are untreatable anyway so basically they are not a burden on the NHS that much. In general smokers contribute far more than they take of the government.
