amen...seriously, never understood why people can't just say "I don't get it"
but then again there is so much hearsay as to what is fact I suppose some people may think they know what is what...

That's true dude, and i wouldn't mind if that were the only case, but it doesn't even seem like people are willing to hear the right side of the story if they are wrong. they just pig headedly ignore things that will be said and backed by other members rather than just putting their hands up and saying "oh fair enough, thanks for letting me know".
like i say, there's no discussion anymore. people just shout their points at each other without listening. I've always said, there's no point questioning if your not listening, coz your not learning, just wasting time.
but as i say though, yea, fair point bro

I agree with some of the comments here, while more people have joined the site there has been more posts, I have noticed sometimes this is overwhelming for the really old members of the site who were used to replying to nearly all the posts on the site... so you start to skip over some of the topics, this continues and you start to only reply to certain types of topics... you can figure out the rest.
If your not into one topic then you don't have to reply, I used to give my 2 cents on very topic on the site when it first started but noticed that I'm not interested in everything people talk about on the site, what appeals to some, doesn't appeal to others...
You guys are the lucky ones, feel sorry for the mods and admins of the site that delete and move all the crap around the place. Locking and banning people etc...

Well i definately don't post as much as i used to...
used to rape the Hardcore discussion forum but now i hardly ever seem to post there - mainly because of the crappy topics flyin around.
I do enjoy chatting shit tho, you get to learn more about the people you're chatting shit to, hence posting in general discussion. But there has been an abundance of shitty shit (as opposed to interesting shit) recently.

Had already noticed you posting allot less frequently.
Yeah I agree with most of these points. I've only been here a couple of years and people where already saying some of these things when I joined but it has certainly got a lot worse over the last year or so.
I think the problem is people just seem to be posting anything just for the sake of it. I don't know why they do it? Maybe it's for the novelty of posting a topic, maybe it's to boost post count or maybe they actually think it's a really interesting topic... Whatever the reason I think that's one of the major causes of the downfall of this site, if people put a bit of thought into topics before posting it would make a huge difference.

^^^ Well about people posting random topics, I have to admit that I might start a weird topic mainly as a lot of the time I'm very bored, or just want to avoid uni work, so basically use this website to stop me being bored.
I've not been a member for long but I can also see that a lot more stupid and/or non-hardcore related topics have been posted. To bve honest when i joined this forum I knew hardly anything about hardcore, never been to a rave etc, but now I feel I've learnt quite a bit, and I also owe this website in that many of you have helped me greatly in my production techniques which I'm thankful for.
I got to admit that a lot of the hardcore related topics i cant really reply to as due to the fact that apart from buying the compilation albums, I don't really follow the "scene" that much, due to the lack of friends who also enjoy hardcore like i do, so I don't go any raves etc
The fact of the matter is people will post whatever they see fit, and unless its offensive, the topic will stay. I can understand how people can be pissed off with 20 consecutive Rankin topics on the go, but as with posts from people like baptist, you just have to ignore them.
PS If this post makes no sense im quite drunk so please dont have a go at me please

Just so you know I have never noticed yourself posting the sort of topic I'm talking about ;). I'm not saying all wierd, joke etc posts are crap just that (some) people need to think a bit more before they hit the button.

the site really did need a harsher rules other than a slap on the wrist for spammers and wankers. however i believe it is too late to implent it now. plus what is the point talking about the new releases? they all sound the same as every other track the artist has done in the last 2-3 years. once again hardcore isn't going out with a bang but with a whimper. whether it fades completely away for a rebirth which would be alot better than just the tossers up top keeping all the smaller producers from taking a bit of their spot light and it just ends up with the top 4 labels producing and the same 12 DJ's playing every event like it is at the moment. i come on the site every 3 days or so now whereas i used to be on it twice a day or something due to the combination the regular DJ's, producers and promoters killed the scene and the site has had an influx of complete tits.
dunno if i've gone off on a complete tangent or not there, can't really remember i'm having some trouble focusing on stuff at the moment =/

I've been on this site 6 months and go to say at the mo its a tad boring! but could be the time of year summers always busy for DJ's in all forms of dance, and for people in general! especially with the sun shining! also as a mad footie fan I, like a few members are talking about the world cup and will be for the next month! so what! but Chris, i'll have to go digging into some of the very old threads to see what the conversation was like then and maybe even write a few replys!

I understand what you're saying but are there any sites that are better?
When this site's buzzing it's the best but like anything else it can't buzz all of the time....
your not wrong there at all mate. I'm a member of loadsa hardcore forums but this is the only one that felt like home properly (a bit pissed thenow so excuse me if talkin shite lol) because of what i said folks were really welcoming and happy to help.
there was a core group of members but not clicky if you get what i mean. and aye wen theres a few of us on and the topics are comin in can be such a good laugh.
why i wouldnt stop comin bck i jus had a bit of a rant cos noticed it seems less like that now.

ush.net for example has a really bad community imo, few good people but it's full of over opinionated idiots who think they know better
i see what you mean i joined there the same time as here and found it too clicky, think you just need to stick around a while but i couldnt be arsed with it and all the arguments.
good points i'll say for them though is i've met loadsa them about at raves and had shit hot laughs, like you said is some crackin members and loadsa them go out regular.
for all i cant be arsed with it i get a lot of info from there and they've got a good following of the hard scene, still dunno jus cant be arsed most the time.

It took me about 3 years to achieve enough posts to become 'advanced', some of the people here have done it in a few months by posting numerous topics that are just.....crap.
aye man whenever i see a post by yourself i no its worth reading, got wkd tastes in old style and i think we have a kinda similar sense of humour.
quote: Not that my post counts anyway!
exact same reason i quoted above is why your posts do count
