if you hadnt noticed im one of the people who stick up for new members when some people decide to act like pricks to them.
example new kid asks about a tune he got in a download or through a bootleggers remix, i'll atleast try and help them and show them where to buy it, welcome them to the site and that.
some others will treat them like common criminals or pisstake there taste, is no need for it at all.
the other week a wee irish lad joined askin about the real name from a bootleggers tune to be greeted with loadsa sarcy replies, wee guy only wanted to no the name of a song and even after everyone was rude to him he still said "thanks".
still not as if he's gonna want to come back now, things like that piss me off loads cos nobody was that bad mannered to me wen i joined.
I'm not gettin at people been new, thats ridiculous i really couldnt care its hardly an achievement to be on a website longer than someone else, jus sayin things have changed.
couldnt care how long people have visited a forum if there a good laugh there a good laugh

I understand what you're saying but are there any sites that are better?
When this site's buzzing it's the best but like anything else it can't buzz all of the time....
wherever you go there's going to be knobends....
but of all the sites this one's the nicest place to be.
....mind you, it pisses me off when people can't be bothered to read (and mentaly digest) the whole of a topic
and dive in with a comment showing total disregard for what's been said earlier.
It's ignorant, rude and, well, tbh, sometimes it feels like casting pearls before swine....
....tis bastard frustrating. : )
There are some solid people here and you're one of them. It'd be a shame if you left mate.

Got a point there, ush.net for example has a really bad community imo, few good people but it's full of over opinionated idiots who think they know better, can't stand the place myself and I'm glad HappyHardcore.com isn't like that even though sometimes it looks as if it's on its way...

ush is full of tossers from my little experience of posting on there, always people think they're the gods of hardcore or something, fair enough they may be knowledgeable (?) but no need to act like a bellend

Completely agree baldo mate,
Been on here before and saw "56 active topics".....not one was worth replying to.
Used to be a quality site where everyone got along and kinda slagged eachother off - but it was all in the name of fun. The 'general discussion' area was shit hot- loads of quality stuff posted, as with the other areas....But most of the people from then have gone and a lot of new, younger members have joined.
That is both a good and bad thing. Good: As the site kinda gets passed along...But bad because the quality of the topics drops (No offence - it's not directed to you all).
It took me about 3 years to achieve enough posts to become 'advanced', some of the people here have done it in a few months by posting numerous topics that are just.....crap.
There are very very few topics that I feel the need or want to post in now....Not that my post counts anyway!

It is a shame to see the place falling apart the way it has been, but yeah, you are right bro.
when i first joined here, i remember people taking me onboard and saying not to worry about if you don't understand about something; that's the thing, its ok to not know about something, just if only people wouldn't pretend they do.
i don't pretend to be any sort of proprietor to the histories and origins of 15,000 subgenres of hardcore, all i know is i like what i like, and i like even more to hear about what other people like, why, and how.
When i found hardcore, it was like a whole new world was opened up to me that i never knew existed. It has helped me through bad times, and good, reminds me of great things that i've done, places i've been, and some songs represent some even painful memories to me. Nonetheless, i have grown and seen hardcore grow and develop with me.
It does feel like a lot of the real value of this site has actually slowly been lost dripping away slowly over time.
This place was quite literally finding a home of friends when i came, and that is no exaggeration. i got on well with EVERYONE, because i was honest with what i know and don't, and because those people all had like minds, and were happy to truly discuss things.
I don't care if i have a heated arguement with anyone here because 9 times out of 10 i'll either a) get to the end of it feeling good because i've seen someone elses ideas on things b) have actually learnt a little about something i may otherwise never have known and c) out of those arguements, if they're with someone smart enough that knows they're stuff and with enough respect to value other peoples opinions, if we have to end it by agreeing to disagree, i would take huge satifaction in at least turning round and saying, "yeah, you know your stuff" and giving a thumbs up to someone that can actually construct an arguement without having to turn round and call people every name under the sun.
*Essentially just read this if all that crap up that is too much for ya*
Many of the great users of yesteryear that used the site often to talk about their passions have left because a bunch of wannabe children began to infiltrate and spread and start talking about baseball caps, favourite pizza toppings and the fascination of unteen million bonkers topics without getting bored.
The site is good and growing but unfortunately, quantity does NOT substitute for quality; seeing you go my friend makes me more gutted to see this place going the way it is.
I was about to say keep it hardcore, but to be honest, even that has lost a lot of its meaning looking at the way things have gone here.
but hey, stay in touch up on here man, still a few good heads about the place, and me and you have still got many more things to do matey. many more.
