Have to say, it does look quite impressive. Looking forward to playing - it is supposed to be released this month.

To be perfectly honest I wasn't impressed that much. It just looks like a short-lived fad to me as all that animation stuff is pretty much pointless and doesn't really add to the art of internet poker.

As I've learnt internet poker and real poker are completely different (in that I can actually win internet poker, but crap at the real game). Trying to combine the two doesn't appeal to me at all.

Also it will probably require a kick ass computer to run smoothly which I dont possess, as I'm skint

I bet it becomes very slow with lots of disconnections, if a lot of people use it. It does look good though, shame I don't play poker anymore.

Word to the Wise:
Your going to save yourself 3 hours of my time at 85$ an hour cleaning PartyPoker off your computer by going to a real casino and buying 6$ bottles of pisswater beer. Most online poker sites, legit or not, pack spyware and adware into their poker software so that they immediatly recoup any losses from "winners" by means of advertisement.

Why do you think WildTangent can provide so many "Free" games? The coders certainly don't give away their time. They are paid. And WildTangent cashes in via spyware, mining, etc.

If you want to gamble, don't do it online. I can assure you the time you save from not driving to the casino does not equal the amount of your winnings online when it comes to having a professional back up your data and reinstall Windows.

I've been using online poker programs for 2 years and never had any problems. Although I've never used PartyPoker - only Titan Poker and WPT.

A poker site can never make a loss, they always take the same percentage off the pot regardless. The rest of the money is just shuffled back and forth between the players. So if you lose, you're not losing to the site, you losing to the other players.

A poker site is very clever way of making money, I imagine it's very difficult to setup a successful legal site though.
