I think alot of the people who've been members of the site for a while just don't start threads anymore (myself included). We rely alot on newer members to start interesting threads.

Agreed. Would much rather point out mistakes in other peole threads than start my own.
Also i think it because people who have been around longer may feel the need for quality rather than quantity

I never get bored....
....so much to do, so little time....
....you'll never catch me posting vague nothingness on internet forums....
Replying to dull and unineresting topics is a waste of incredibly valuable time,
....right now I'm extremely busy, contemplating the intricacies of several clashing frequencies that
no matter how much I alter the EQ of the vocals, they still sound sh*t...!
....mmm,
time for a vague pointless post on an internet forum or a nice cuppa tea?
or both....

your not wrong bristol mate, get bored of some threads but i'm still addicted to hardcore forums.
on here i mainly get tired of the nobs who'd rather talk about how shit rankin, cammy etc are than real hardcore artists.
i should jus let it lie but there replies are always so gay and jus as bad as the people that love that style.
It's either "rankins a loozer man **** dem chavs who like dat shit"
or "rankin rulzzzz man your all h8rs"
all equally shit and not worth readin, jus spazwits who need to grow up

Yeah, I totally agree. I am a great saddistic cynic, so I also choose to pick fault with other posts. Although when ever I start my own, they seem to gain a fair bit of interest. Mine usually include pics or videos or worth while stuff...
Im actually just about to start my own topic in a bit 
And the title will annoy Clarke101 a bit hehe
