Well, the worst possible thing has happened and my screen of my iPod nano has cracked and water gotten into it. the screens messed but the actual ipod still works - i just cant see what im doing. how/where can i get this repaired? i only got it a few weeks back (present off the girlfriend, cos she never used it) and I pretty much fell in love with it, so how can I sort this mess out? :/

If you have to go the apple route to have it repaired be prepared to pay almost as much as a new one.
Best bet would be to try some electrical repair places.

fuhkin zen micros.
it's my second one and it already broke for the reason why i got a second one! [did that make any sense] the sound jack or whatever, gets loose and i gotta tape the headphone wirer. blah

if its only a couple of weeks old, won't apple fix it for free? my old 40GB one died within the first year, and they replaced it free

warranty for ipod sux if you ask me.. i think if i remember.. apple ipod they dont cover for accidents...they'l only give you a new one if it screws up by itself. In aus they have apple stores for all the ipod accessories and stuff..so if theirs a shop like that, that would be the best place .. or maybe some how contacting them by going to their official apple site.

Dont most warranties fail to cover user damage?lol
I know all warranties i used to sell at DSE wouldnt cover accidental damage....

Very gald i didn't get one now. Read a customer review on Amazon that said he'd had 4 in a year all because of the same problem.

Is the creative zen quite loud mate, I bought a Sony Network 20gb and it's the quietest thing i've ever heard. Would like to buy a new mp3 player sometime soon so just looking for recommendations :)

Not really bothered bout the size but something fairly loud I hate quiet hardcore lol, uhm something that aint going 2 be too big tho.

the ipod nano in america had to replace every1's ipod due to a laod of problems, mainly the screen cracking to easily and the battery going after a year, id never bother with one, its obvious the screen will crack when you have a feel of it, stick with the good old mp3 stick, i got philips one of them and cant fault it
