They were pretty dire! They were like a really bad amatuer version of Hammerfall, Battlelore or Manowar or something!

Most points any countrie has ever got, hah.

Anyway as for others, German was frightingly good (hated the whole country thing before heard the song, but it was actually pretty good), also Norway and UK standed out from the rest.

Now that we've added Rock to the show, i think next would be electronic music :) Seeing as its Eurovision, i hope next year YLE invites Chorale because its Eurotrance and they sing in finnish (too many songs in english there these days), plus seeing as this is an Eurodance countrie, they could win the Finnish voting :)

Actually, its not. These are regular people voting, whoever they want to vote. There are voting "blocks" though -> many vote for their neighbours. Dont know if its because they have similar tastes, or not. But e.g. i was dissapointed when Iceland and Estonia didnt get to the finals. Same thing is with UK/Ireland giving points to each other, its all part of Eurovision in my opinion. I personally like the whole Eurovision thing, the music isnt something id regularly listen, but its a show. I like the whole Europe thing innit, the voting, the tactics, its all fun. I watch it usually every year. Its like an sports event in a way.

Well if that's not part of political voting, then I don't know what is!!!!

It's very political I'm afraid, and don't ever expect the UK to do well (no matter how good or not good the song is), aslong as we are hated in Europe for several reasons but mainly because of our relations with the US.

Yea when in 2003(?) UK got null points they put the reason on the Iraq war, but when even people from UK thought the track was mediocre at best, what did you expect? But if its all political, why did Finland Get voted by 34 countries, 8 of the giving full points? We dont have that many neighbours ;) Also why has Ireland won the most times (7 if i remember right), when its only neighbour is UK? Like i sayd "voting block's" play a part in the voting, but its not as big as you think. There are more people voting for the song they like, then the countrie they like.
