Who hates the incrowd? I'm not slagging off chavs and townies here, im slagging off anyone who thinks that they are better than you coz they are in the 'incrowd' There are some memebrs of this forum who shall remain username-less whoa re going around bullying other members claiming that they know more about music than otehrs or they have been raving for longer and know what they are talking about.

The forum is being ran down with a very sick member and also cruel 'Advanced' members who are turning this place into a war-zone. I might not be the most poular member here but I still come here out of injoyment and have also got friends to sign up. This seems to have gotten me inot trouble, so as i try to defend my self by sending a few PMs to other members (they know who they are) I am still finding this place has worse social issues than Rossmore Community College (12-19 Secondary School) in Parkstone, Poole, Dorset!

As there arn't that many mods around I sugest that we help them and by nice to the newer members and just ignor those who annoy us.

End of

I agree with you for most of that....suprising hey.

I was reading through a few comments posted by people after I got home from work today, your right, it's getting like a war zone. Seems to me like they're is a few little groups of members that seem to have banded together to verbally attack other groups of members. Not on imo.

Maybe I'm being paranoid...who knows, but that's what it looks like to me.

Personally I always try to remain impartial, don't "attack" people (although it may seem that way sometimes :P) ect, thats the way it used to be from everyone....doesn't look that way to me anymore.

Maybe I should jump on the bandwagon and join a "side", looks like it's more fun than staying impartial....

Emotional outburst over ;)

Try telling that to most of the members here who like to make a fuss of anything and take their anger out on strangers!

yeah i guess. But as soon as you start getting bothered about it, they've won.

Basically, i think you should just think a bit more before hitting that "post reply" button. I've read some of your posts, and sometimes you seem to come across as a fairly sound guy, but in others you just come across as a total nob jockey. also you say that people act like they know more about hardcore because they have been raving for longer, and thats probably because they do.

also, you should probably tell your "friend" sexy dave to stop being such an ******* if you want a bit more respect.

I think a lot of people are going to…

Smoogie... no offence but you should really see things the other way round...

What if you've been into something (hardcore for example) your WHOLEEE LIFE!!! (Or for a very long time at least)
and then some noob comes in and clams they know more about hardcore then you... you ent going to be too pleased are you... your just going to laugh at them and think what a nob...

Truth is whether you like it or not... it’s a logical argument that you learn more about something the more and longer you listen/follow/like something...

It’s the same as when someone older turns round and tries to win an argument by saying "you'll understand when you get older"

I ****ING HATE IT WHEN THEY SAY THAT!!!
But don't hate them!!!!!!!!!

Fact is... there’s nothing you can say... it’s a logical augment you learn more trough age!!!

And you've just got to respect that... the only people that don’t are dam right arrogant and can't admit when there wrong...

My point is...

This place we know as happyhardcore.com... is not about seeing who knows more about hardcore...

It’s about sharing your opin with the rest of the crowd... people will prove you right and wrong and voice there opin on the matter... in the end... we all walk off or out of a topic having learnt something...

However... the people that don't are once again... arrogant... and can't admit when there wrong...

No offence smoogie... you come across as one of them...

Take me for example... I've only been into hardcore mainstream for just over 2 years now... been into dance my whole lift... but never really followed (research and got involved) till 2-3 years ago...

When I did though I got into hardcore first trough the oldskool and the happy area... progressing myself to nuskool just like if I had trough time...
But I don’t think I know everything... I know a lot yes!!! But not everything… and I’ve proved people wrong many times, aswell as been proved wrong myself many times aswell… Aswell as been right about predicted things in hardcore when everyone else said I was wrong…

As much as I love expressing my opin... when someone says, I'm chatting shit... I don't fire back... I listen to there opin... point out rights and wrongs and wait for a reply... the point is I'm learning in the process...

Same thing with music... if you spend weeks of work on a track... only to upload it and have someone comment the good and bads of your work...
What??? Are you going to stress cuse they voiced an opin...

Once again... dam right aragnet and I’ve come across a number of people like that when it comes to music... people that can't take a bad review and these PEOPLE PISS ME OFF TO NO END!!!

I've learnt all this from here
http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=762607&t=3363

read "NICO SLASH JANE B" respone to a bad review i gave him over a very poorly made track that was slaped under happy hardcore - but wadn't happy hardcore...

and then read "Rhemasonador" review...

His right... 100% right...

no matter what is said to you... you take the good and the bad in and don’t get offended... its only an opin at the end of the day... you just got to work out why they are saying that... why are they getting so uptight about it...
the reason is cuse they must know something you don't know about... witch is making you look like a fool... hey... we've all been there...

But like I say... we all learn from each other... there’s no reason to get uptight about things… those that do are simply perfectic… and you shouldn’t let them get to you…

Certain people just need to be a bit more “open minded” about things… that’s all…

The nature of any interweb site is that people speak their minds. If you post something that they think is dumb they'll tell you. If you say one thing in one post and another in another post then people will pick up on it.

I've stood up for you in the past (and will continue to do so for you or anybody) where I've felt it necessary and right (right after the whole "Smoogie's Friends" incident). I gave you some (I hope) very good advice and hoped you would take it up. I asked people to lay off you and give you a chance to prove yourself. They did.

However, as Sk8siM said, you do come over as being a tad on the arrogant side - which gets up peoples noses more than pollen in the middle of June. Your post about people listening to their mainstream hardcore on the camping trip and sneering at you with your "old skool vinyl" or however you put it doesn't exactly do you any favours. Its all very well saying about the "Elite" members, but the ones that I know in that crowd you are talking about are the ones who embrace hardcore in all its forms - from old to new, soft to hard. The new members are more likely to be the ones who would sneer at your old taste in music.

As for the site becoming a war-zone - yes it has to an extent. There have been alot of annoying posts of late which (as on any site) gets people annoyed. It makes people even less tolerant of other posts they class as stupid. Posts which they would just ignore any other day. But I personally don't think there has been any bullying. Yes people have responded to posts in a less than friendly manner, but believe me I have seen alot worse and if your secondary school had bullying at the level that you feel it is on here then you are a very lucky lad!

I can take people giving thing bad reviews, aslong as its put forward as an opinion, nothing pisses me off more than someone deciding to write 'the new bonkers is shit' blah blah blah as if it were fact and then going off on one if you disagree...

Best example of irony i've seen so far this year!

Your first sentence?

Who hates the incrowd?

So, you create a topic in which you complain of all the evil wrongdoing and great injustices you've witnessed recently - then openly start having a go at other people!

Pot - meet kettle!

I agree with some of what you say, there are a few too many 'lets see who can be the most controversial' people here. there are also quite a few outspoken members who don't seem to have anything of note to say!

So as long as everyone agrees i'm the bestest round here and i know everything there is to know about hardcore ever - we'll all get along nicely ')

i don't really think thats its all that bad
myself im a firm beleiver in equal oppertunity
if you post a stupid comment/argument made
you should expect to have someone toss it back at you
in most cases its out of fun and not actually ment to be
all that harmful just to have a laugh, which i noticed right off
from the first couple times i posted here and should be obvious
to others because of the fact that they will post the same regardless
of who post the previous dumb message prior to them flaming you.
but when you act like you do sometimes smoogie it agitates people.
case and point the deal with 'mainstream' music on the camping trip
which is just dumb cause of not only everyones varied tastes but also
the fact that theres a few of them that are really intersted in 'crate digging' for lack of a better term, example bazza cause even on here he's always looking around/asking bout new stuff/unheard of stuff, and in many cases most of what he finds is going to be quite far from 'mainstream'

If it wasn't for some of the quality people I wouldn't even visit the forums but, after sifting through the drivvle you do find the odd gem of a post, a topic that'll provoke thought and inspire people to make constructive arguements and put accross their point of view - essentially what Underloop is talkin about. I enjoy reading the casual banter on the forums, as a lot of members sense of humour is similar to mine (dry, sarcy and witty) but complaining about bullying isn't gonna solve anything smoogie. If the bad times outweigh the good times then you gotta ask yourself - what are you doing here?

You gotta make a choice to either take it on the chin and think about what you post or just be a reader or leave.

End of....

sorry, i couldn't resist!

yip yip yap yap quit bragging! quit bullying! quit going mental.
i may be an advanced member but i have a moderate-large knowledge in this field of music. but do i brag? do i bully? do i act like i know all>?

as BC said "You gotta make a choice to either take it on the chin and think about what you post or just be a reader or leave."

so what if someones dissing you? be the bigger, better man and ignore them. its strange how a youngster could act even more mature then some people here.

Since my recent return, I'll admit the forum is actually very similar to how it was when I left (but with even fewer tolerable people! – fact and I’ve said it, so call me arrogant please do) over a year ago. Because this is such a large community it has always had its problems (and always will), but sometimes I've seen people on here in the past (another past reference the arrogance in me is growing) learn from their mistakes, and take advice onboard from the more senior members (or the OAP's like DMS in most cases!).

We’re all still learning, but if I can say one thing – It costs nothing to show some manners and respect to someone, no matter how much you detest them.

The good quality posts must outweigh the bad ones (we all except they’ll happen from time to time), otherwise you've lost the battle.
