yea totally agree actually although i might buy a 360 because the ps3 looks a bit of a dissapointment but in all fairnos if you have a pc with a good graphics card stick with that.

Well if you pre-order one, then when its released you can say
"I'm getting wee delivered to my house soon"
Or if it breaks and you send it off to be fixed you can say
"I've sent my wee off to be tested"

nah 360 isnt that good. its not exactly next gen either. its basically just a medium-high range computer, and the parts will be outdated when the next set of dual cores and graphics cards come out (dx10)
i was considering getting a ps3 just because its got like 7 cores in or something silly like that

Is the PS3 definately out worldwide in November? If it is then my student loan will come into handy, but my degree will probably suffer quite a lot.

that is always the case, you could build aan xbox yourself from parts for PC's. PC's will always be better than consoles and get 10 times more and better games than any console and with emulators you can get any game. PC's will always be better aswell as they're upgradable whereas you can't upgrade a console just wait till the next one comes out
bone the revolution/wii is the least powerful of the group and will have the worst game titles aswell, always the case with niny consoles, only franchise they have are mario/zelda

lol... if you have followed nintendos plans from e3 2004... you'll have notised that there main goal wasn't about grafix... they wanna prove that grafix ent everything and bring in the crowds of people that have never played games before in there life... (i.e. your mom, your granmother ect) to be fair thats what nintendo are best at and they always seam to pull it off... 
cuse lets face it... gaming is about FUN!!!! and FUN is for everyone!!
fact is sony and microsoft SIGN CONTRACTS for there games!!! 
nintendo make there own... and they have TONS MORE them mario/zelda...
go out... buy a gamecube and get super smach bros mele... perfect game for you if you wanna find out about nintendos history... be warned tho your gonna be blown away...
