easter is to celebrate the ressurection of jesus from the dead, the egg is used to symbolise new birth as in when jesus rose from the dead. of course that's just a mockery now and lost all meaning in the billion pount a year industry it creates. personally i hate religion and think catholicism is as bad as all the others but that still shouldn't mean it can be exploited
i 'celebrated' easter by having half a botle of southern comfort and about 17-20 shots, then we set off into town  . i was actually pretty damn sober compared to what i usually aim to get  . i hate being sober in town, isn't as much fun. although i had something to eat it made it worse as i was absolutely bloated, i never usually eat before i go out as it usually rests really uneasy in my stomach with alcohol.

I have no problem with people expressing peoples opinions. Its a forum, thats what people do. The problem is that his rant is a complete topic dodge, nothing to do with chocolate, sweets or even easter.
Where as my lovely 3 lines were spot on topic.
If you actually want to have a "religious debate" (which are always fruitless) then start another topic! Just keep this one on topic. Sweets, Eggs, and chocolate!

Now having said that, I enjoyed the Easter break and did some item/egg hunting. I also got to spend some good quality time with my brother. Family is a good thing and I'm only just learning the value of it now.
