I want to change windows so that it looks better, The main thing is to get rid of that awfull green on the start menu, How can I do this. Have any of you changed it and can you show some screen shots of what you have done. Is there any free stuff that can do this.

http://www.google.com wikid place to start for help with this... a hardcore forum is not that good... try looking for some themes for XP... or you could just change xp to "classic" style :D

personally i always just change it back to the 95/98 style, cos its fast, simple and uses the least resorce on my system.
theres always stardock.... google tells all
yealds things like this (all my little bros comp (except the last one).. he's runin a DURon..i dont know how he puts up with the slowwness lol)

My friend uses StyleXP
http://www.tgtsoft.com/prod_sxp.php haven't used it myself, but you might try it, it looked great on his computer.

yeah i use stardock at home... its pretty but can tend to be a resource hog... at work i use the "classic" theme coz i have a really really old, slow laptop...

i use this exellent program i downloaded called TuneUp Utilities
http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/ you can totally customise icons, themes, boot screens....the lot mate, but the thing is its just a free trial, so try and get the.... errr hmmm... crack for it, then u get it free :) easily done!
