i new a couple people who ended up homeless and it's all cossa smack, there the sorta people nobody wants to live beside and get evicted from everywhere.
Not saying every homeless person is but a lot of them just cant get on in a house, they'll be noisy all night, break in there nxt door neighbours flat to rob it, bring other junkie mates round the close all day/night, mibbe even sellin stuff so theres people coming in and out all the time.
is sad cos is nearly all people with drink and drug problems but you cant blame families and normal people for not wantin them living nearby.

despite the fact that I'm glad to be born here in belgium and that I like living here i still think national pride is illogical and so I don't get into it. how can you be proud of something that you didn't really have a say in? You were born somewhere and live somewhere, so what? what's there to be proud of, what's your contribution to that nation being so darn wonderful or not?
If you found your own country and make it a good place to live then yeah, be proud of it, you did it, but just being born somewhere isn't really that big of an achievement.

bro you made my argument pretty easy here...
Your last word is "achievement". Of course you dont achieve shit just by being born, but you can still have "pride" cant you?

If you're too young to have made a useful contribution to your country it certainly can't be wrong
to be proud of the efforts and sacrifices that your family and countrymen have made in the past
so that you can comfortably sit there enjoying the freedom to bitch.
Respect is what it's about.
Pride, in it's lowest form ain't good, but being proud to be a part of something worthy....?

I still don't get how you can be proud to be e.g. british, it's like being proud to be white (and then you're a white supremacist and should die :p) or black or whatever.
You can be content, sure, happy with the situation and grateful for those who have helped shape your nation to what it is today but to be proud of the simple fact that you're e.g. british?
I feel pride should be about an accomplishement ( like helping an aid-organisation) or a choice you made (for instance political or ethical), something you knowingly did something for, not something you got thrown in your lap.
