To me, the more i think about it, it seems that all religion is based on Transcendence from our current life. Perhaps all religion lead us to the same destination, but the way we get there is just different.

exactly Bazza! so why do people see spirits in only human form? Its all b*llocks when your dead your dead! people need to believe into something coz they can't explain what lifes about! the need for a heaven and hell is manmade! religion is the route of all evil! people are brainwashed into believing into something that can never be proven! so it will go on and on!

yeh but the thing with ghosts of any form is that its always at night why? u never here of a ghost walking round asdas a 3 o'clock in the afternoon! with loads of people saying f**k me theres a ghost! coz the brain plays tricks when your tired, scared and on your own! are ghosts insecure or shy!

personally i think ghosts are a load of rubbish, ive thought ive seen things and shat myself in a few spooky situations but i agree with paul, its all in the mind

Something i wanted to bring up earlier, but totally forgot, is how you believe dinosaurs became extinct? Now the most common theory is of course that meoteroite wiping them all out of extinction but i ask you this my dear men...why did those dinosaurs in the sea not die? end of the day if we cant prove they exist(or dont exist)how the hell are we gonna no why we cant see them at 3 pm in asda?????

i think the universe and the world we live in has a combination of miricals, misfortunes and revolutions which we will never fully understand. i would try and come up with a theory of the universe but i am no where near bright enough to complete such a theory.
however, if i was going to sumarise the universe, i would compare it to a book. (admitidly this is looking more at life now) i have came up that life is like a book. someone, whetether it is the book shop ownter, the people who cut down the trees, or maybe even god, has provided each and everyone of us with a book. he has given all of us a pen, and we all have the same amount of pages.
nether the less, he has given us different beliefs, backgrounds and even perseptions of life. this therefore affects the words which are recorded in the book.
soime of us (due to different reasons) choose to rip pages out of the book, write very little worth notice and constantly chuck the book around. this results in a poor novel at the end which is probably about 20 pages long with no real layout structure or key points.
on the other hand, some people write out every chapter, only make a few mistakes, keep the book tidy and sucseed in completing the book. at the end of it they hav a tidy long and detailed story. they are the people which sucseed in life (usularly)
now i know i sound lyk a nutter going on bout books, but if you look at the book as someones life. the book records achievments, and if it is tidy, it is more likly that it will be read, so therefore not fogoten.
what that has to do with the question i have no idea. i just thought i would share my theory with everybody else, as this is a deep convo. i lyk deep convos.

If a God exists then there is a whole load of 'science' unknown to man, because according to the science we know about its impossible for some being to create a universe.
