Japan's nice to visit, just don't live here, as I found out once I understood Japanese and found out what people were saying to me and each other plus on TV I saw a totally different side of Japan.

Japan is better when you don't understand Japanese :)

As far as i know most are friendly. There are signs like that most likely more because of xenophobia then racism.

I should also point out that ive never been in Japan. So these are only stuff ive read, and not experienced.

most japanese are very friendly, however you need to realize that their culture is still very male oriented and their view of the world is different than most countries.

things like belching after a meal & farting in public is ok, but sneezing in public is frowned upon. one thing I never understood is why it's ok to show boobs on tv but not pubic hair? =P

http://www.tribo.org/nanking/

some pretty disturbing japanese history for those interested.

i'd like to go and visit but i'm 100% sure i wouldnt live there, like brittish humour too much the only places i'd consider moving to is australia, new zealand or canada.

Mibbe holland aswell but i still think i'd keep that as a holiday destination or only move for a few months

aye when you put it that way i think i'd prefer the rain.

i went to greece last year and it was a heatwave for greece which means scottish people like me just melt. I was so glad to see the rain when the flight landed back in britain.

I'm a bit funny like that when i go abroad i can only enjoy it for a few days then i want a quiet night with a joint and my own bed, i'd love to travel in theory but i dunno if i'd actually enjoy it much if i did especially the backpacking.
