that's what it's like here, you can't escape it. all the clubs play garage and all the pirate stations play garage, all the dj's spin garage,GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR it's annoying. i'm probably the only hardcore dj here,i know a few ppl who listen to it,but they all like garage better :(

I know plenty ppl know plenty of ppl who love hardcore, some who kinda like it and some who dont exactly like it but have no problem with listening to it if it's on.
I am trying my best to convert the local pirate station (actualy got a whole hour out em the other week) and I even sent em a nice hardcore cd (Best of British) which got air play as well.
As for clubs I dont know two many in the area at all except for the major ones over in Liverpool, there is one local club that is having an oldskool night soon thats about as close to hardcore as your gonna get at a club round here that I know of.
Oh yeah could ppl pls visit http://www.soundfm.org and check out the poll, you all know what to vote for :-) "It's hardcore fever and its everywhere"

I live in Victoria, British Columbia on Canada's west coast and there is absolutely NO Hardcore scene here at all... Eastern and Central Canada appear to have decent hardcore scenes, but it's basically unknown here in western Canada. Here on Vancouver Island the scene is all about House, House, House and more House with some Breaks and DnB. No Trance here either. Kinda sucks cuz Hardcore (mainly Freeform not Happycore. sorry folks) and Trance are two of my favourite genres...

There's a hardcore DJ/Producer in Vancouver now. You should e-mail him and get in touch. His e-mail address is [email protected].

Brisbane australia was completely dead for a period.. but just this year hardcore has picked up a little, for instance paul holden two weekends ago (old australian hardcore legend).. paul elstak last weekend, brisk and luna c this weekend.. who knows whats in store for this year, but i know i wanna be a part of it.
i'm very excited to see who else is gonna grace our shores.. and maybe we can get back to the point where we're exporting dj's/artists as much as we're importing
unfortunately i cant see the narrowmindedness of others going away though (ie the fag/uncool thing)

Sydney, Australia's hardcore capital. A party every fortnight (at least, although it's been 1/1 for about two months), each with about 50% happyhard content. Lately though the scene's been moving towards gabber (rotterdam and nu-style), but everyone still needs their dose of cheese.
We had a weekly hardcore radio station (CPX) but last time I checked it was off air (maybe because the DJ's have been too busy playing at parties?).

I've only been involved in the scene for a little over 4 years but things here in St. Louis have definitely taken a turn for the worse. Parties used to be awesome, the best around..but the last year or 2 has just made me sad...all we ever hear anymore is Drum & Bass, and House..don't get me wrong, i love DnB and House, but hearing the exact same DJ's with the exact same sets over and over EVERY weekend gets a little repetive and old...up untill about 2 months ago..there were no Happy Hardcore DJ's playing out in St. Louis...AT ALL...and the only HHC DJ's you would see at parties were DJ Spree from Minneapolis, and Muppetphucker. DJ Spree's still in town all the time and his set's get better every time I see him, and now DJ Flippy is starting to frequent our parties..but that's basically it for the time being. The only down fall to having Happy Hardcore at parties that I have noticed is that it brings a THICK layer of Etards..and it's kinda hard to dance with all those E-Piles in the middle of the dance floor. I'm always scared i'm gonna dance right over um..OOPS...ah well...I'm achin for my chance to hit the decks someday soon and show everyone what I can bring to the city... :)
GO GO ACID BUNNIES!!!

Here where I live in the UK its not very good most people have never heard of it and the rest just think its crap (TWA*S). I was in the hairdressers the other day when the music stopped and as they put a different cd on I heard one of them shout out don't play the first song its hardcore and its shit and they all agreed I gave them my 2c and left.
