I've always found the mandatoy "last minute bidding war" to be most of the fun of on line auctions. Just seems like cheating to use an automatic bidding program like that.

yup thats all i do, wait till there is one minute left and keep refreshing the page till there is only a few seconds left, if im willing to pay higher than the price its at i put my maximum bid in

although it is a good idea if you arnt at your pc when the auction finishes, and for those forgetful people lol

think it still comes down to what you set ur rooftop figure as. if the oppositions have same/similar programs, i think it doesnt really make a differnce
