most of your parents sound sound! My dad quiet likes it, not enough to buy it. The funny thing is he dont like all the vocal stuff. He prefers the harder stuff like freeform and hard freeform. He aint heard gabber though, i may try that one on him! lol

this thread has become more of a "hate the neighbours" debate, i think we all agree on one thing tho, neighbours are all sausage jockies<---haha,
i thought of summin funny to do tho, but youll prob get a noise complaint,
the idea is... get a real dirty old scratched CD and whack it on full blast, then punch CD player as hard as you can till it starts to jog n skip and when it does that thing where it gets stuck (which pisses me off) turn the volume up and go do the weekly shopping, thatll give them summin to moan about!!! i got plenty of evil plans!! hehehehe

if your parents moan about it and call it drug music, wait til they play some beatles, then point out that nice mr mcCartney was probably tripping his tits off when he wrote the song. also it's a safe bet that most of the pop music producers snort coke like hoovers at their swanky parties!

my mum dont mind it unless i do it 4 ages ma dad h8s it hes into tht heavy metal shit n tht. In the end of the day, its my taste of music n they got tht if they dnt like it stuff them, they can't stop me listin to music i enjoy!

when i first got into hardcore. (before i found this site) my mom began to say that i was either on drugs or a drug dealer due to the style.. but i really dont care what my mom thinks. so whatever

Mum accepts the cheesy stuff, but when she hears gabber: "Now I understand why you are sometimes so aggressive, this sounds like some maniac would hit with a stick on everything".
She knows I've been listening to harder type of music all my life (before hardcore I listened to Hard Trance).
Dad, he thinks it is noise... He listens mostly to CCR, John Fogerty, Rolling Stones etc.
None of them have connected Hardcore with drugs though..

what dya recon kids will be listening to when were old and grey? (if we live that long!!) will hardcore still be about? or will the remains of hardcore only be our old vinyls? or will they be listen to even faster music? like gabba sitting at 660bpm or summin mad?

gud point, it will be quite strange when we're older, how our dads listen to radio 4 on the drive home from work singing to all there 70's ballads, cant really imagine us in our late 40's ravin to a bit of hardcore when we pick the kids up from school, i cant see dance in general becoming any bigger or smaller than what it is now (would imagine hardcore will become the more dominant dance genre though in a few years time), there is always going to be a big proportion of peops listening to rock, cant see hip-hip being around in 20 years though

Ma mum hates it but she dont mind me listening to it as long as she cant hear/feel it. and ma dad is kinda deaf and cant really hear anythin!!!!
