This really pi**es me off i mean what is thier problem? I would see a problem if a world leader had made a savage comment on the whole muslim community *coughs-BUSH* but to be this angered by a bloody cartoon is just childish and quite pathetic. At the end of the day this is not a problem with the Muslim community because most of them have a sense of humour, this is just a problem with an extreme group not the whole society and i believe it is wise to remember this. At the end of the day this is a ridiculous situation to be in in 2006 i meen seriously imagine if every religion got annoyed when someone parodied it. The vatican goes to war with jamaica for 'I love the Pope the pope smokes dope' T-shirts and so on just doesn't happen. these people just need to chill out and learn to be able to make fun of themselves i meen seriously the rest of the world can do it so why not them.
Rant over *phew*
*edit* I just had a look at the images in question and don't see where the problem lies. In traditional Muslim paintings they portray muhammed as an overbearing war lord (not all of them i will add). I seriously hope none of them read the sun or it will be us next.

gotta admit it though aintcha guys...
Its opened us to new thoughts and to be able to see things from a different perspective. We may not agree with everyone, but from every bodies different points of view (even these few responses on a music forum), it just goes to show no one person agrees entirely, therefore, no one person is the same. THEREFORE EVERYBODY IS AN INDIVIDUAL!
Hmm there was a point i was trying to make. but i forgot what it was hahaha.... >.<

I think you pretty much made it and i agree. We are all individual so why do we have to act as a pack all the time, following some leader with views which don't actually match our own (speaking from a human perspective I'm not actually religious).

no no no
I was trying to say, that we are all individuals and therfore should be treated as individuals (kinda like what you said)
Which means, let everybody do what they want! I believe you should (like uks freedom of speech act) be able to do/say what you want as long as you are not harming others or putting anybody else in danger... Thats where these extremists go wrong :(
I say scrap religion and everybody should join my island that i will buy when i win the Euro Millions.... My rules, what i say goes... but thats good. because i will do everything you want :D
FREE BOOZE AND DRUGS (as long as there are no fights n shit)

that goes back to the animal days as we evolved from the chimps, always been tribal and looked out for our family and friends, is just the way we are.
the one thing every culture has in common is being out for ourselves, not 100% of the people all the time but right through history it's the way things have been.

Its quite funny in that a few months ago I thought how would the Muslim communities around the world react to some idiotic westerner blowing up the Kaaba in Mecca.
To those that don't have a clue what im on about, each Muslim is supposed to go to Mecca and perform the Hajj which is a ritual. A part of this is to walk around the Kaaba (a cube thing) numerous times and is quoted on the wikipedia site to be the holiest place in Islam. I was thinking that if someone blew it up then it would be the equivalent of finding the actual cross that Jesus died and blowing that up, in Christianity.
The repercussions of these cartoons have yet to be completed but they are already quite worrying as the number of extremists is rather high, especially in countries like Syria.
A very random point I know but i thought i would share it because i realise now that I am scared of Islam now, not because they are all terrorists, but they are all seem to be really religious and will do anything in the name of Allah. The world would be a safer place if they all realised, like most young "Chrisitians" in the UK, that religion is a load of bullcrap and that they realise that fighting for a figure that doesnt exist is pointless.

Yeah, sure is. Now Al-qaeda told that they would kidnap all Danes and Norwegians they see and cut them to pieces...
very humane of them... all because of one some pics =/
They are doing exactly what the caricatures show, threatening other people with bombs n stuff.
Let's all just hope they don't do anything really stupid
*edit*
just found this off bbc site
"They want to know whether Muslims are extremists or not. Death to them and to their newspapers,"
- now isn't that person an extremist, if he thinks like that..?
