I've bought so many tunes in the past which had what i believed where crap a or b sides but now i actually prefer the other side. so thats not really a valid point. I do appreciate that perhaps you don't have the money but neither do i but when you get that vinyl addiction it's the greatest feeling that you can get and imo is one of the best thngs about dj'ing except the playing out. I as a collector will never get into the whole mp3 downloading thing unless they are tunes you just can't get on vinyl personally i will always stick to vinyl. but hey thats just my thing.

so who thinks it's a good idea to run a decent breakbeat hardcore event as previously mentioned.

i've got very similar opinions to yourself tbh, mibbe it's just because i started with vinyl but it's just the way i like things. Having a collection of mp3's really means nothing to me it's just a gutter that it seems for underground stuff it's no longer commercially viable to release vinyls.

about the breaks event i think it's a wkd idea but again it will only work if theres enough interest. What with hiring a venue, paying dj's, security etc we'd need to no that it isnt gonna be empty on the night.

Finacially i'm not in the best situation at the moment, only working part time and at college the rest of the time so is hard to earn a decent living. I'd be happy to give you a donation and would bring as many people as i can down, most probably be able to get someone to dj old style for free aswell. Personally i think brighton would be a gd place for it as theres a lot of young open minded people, and it isnt hard for me to get down either.

Sorry i cant be more help but with finances as they are chucking loadsa money at an event i'm not sure will cover costs is just impossible for me. This is why i understand totally what luna c's saying, putting money where out mouth is isnt as easy to do as to say.

But mate i'll give any support i can, if my situation was different would definitely want to help more.

I read this on ush and to be honest i was suprisingly upset by the possible death of vinyl lol

I have got a cdj, just to play unreleased tunes, and to mess about with hard house and hopefully soon to play my own stuff but in my opinion using it just isnt the same as vinyl.

People say why use old fashioned stuff (vinyl) when there's more modern ways to do things (cd/mp3) but to me, as some1 all ready said, having a cupboard full of vinyls is much better than having a few blank looking cds with songs on.

I play older stuff as well (94-98 type stuff) so i'll always have to use vinyl for that, but with the new stuff it seems inevatable (???) that vinyl will stop completely some time, and i suppose theres nothing we can do about it. I'm just gonna keep buyin vinyl until no1 makes them anymore then will (reluctantly) switch entirely to cd.

Very true. I look forward to seeing how this year unfolds.
