Basically I have little knowledge of DJing equipment but how much do things like that cost (Altogether including decks, mixer, speakers etc) When I finlly finish my degree and get a real job I wanna get a new hobby and DJin could be that

i got mine through a mate who provides clubs with equipment....
but in shops etc there 650 each.... and the mixer i THINK is about 5-600 but someone can correct me!

thats hip hop teritory.....its the break in a newish makina track...it goes into weird breaks..... just when i took the pik!
yea im griogair on ush! thats it though...im not a forum slut!
the denons are 650 in shops...maybe 600 if u look about...
i got them from some supplyer tho...and mine wer just under that!
mixer i got 3nd hand thismorning...workd perfect!

Mixers shit hot mate respectos for that, how the f**k you afford that  ? Wkd though mate will last you a long time is defo a good buy for the long run.
I'd like a cd-jay but hardly any tunes i like are available on cd/mp3, and rippin from vinyl just aint got the sound quality imo but sure with the right software it could be made alrite.
Still mate am major impressed and jealous of your setup, how much of a loan did you take out for that?

Looks sweet.... I use Denon CD-J's as well :)
Most CD-J's mess the BPM, I'm sure it is 85 x 2 = 170BPM :)

@ silver... yea i think it was.... just the break was an old hiphop bit.
so prob was half song tempo.
yea there awsome....really getting into them now.....so glad i went for them and not pioneers....
and mixer is a peach too!

^^^ Nothing wrong with them, I just prefer Denon as they have 2 lasers to read the CD so I feel you get better fine tuning of the mixes... but I can use Pioneers as well, just feel they are a little more loose for mixing in my opinion (and my opinion only :) )

Has anyone ever used the technics ones? I'm continually tempted to splash out on a pair but no-one actually seems to have them to get aome opinions. Are they all show?

ive only ever heard terrible things mate...incompatability with loads of formats...poor/digital sounding...
aparently a real hit and a miss for technics

technics suck, the top plate goes slippy and crap after a whiles use, plus they sound digital (bubbly) to hell and back, completely out of sync to scratch with and rarely play any mp3's you put in them
