Listening to kcomplex & AMS - 'echelon' both on the NEC live bonus disc and on nuenergy.co.uk. Does anybody notice it is REALLY slow? I understand it is meant to be that way, but i dont want a slow version. On sharkeys Bonkers 14 mix, the 'echelon' version on there is much faster and better.
Has sharkeys just increased the tempo on his mix? or is there a faster version of the track out there?

NEC Live is a showcase for Hard Dance stuff, so ofcourse its slow
It was prop fasten up on Bonkers 14, i dont see why artists should be shy to do this

nope it's the pa they do as in not just somebody dj'ing it's when they use all kindsa hardware etc, it's beyond impressive when you see it live.
It depends on the crowd what style they play if it's a hard dance room it's more for them, but at tasty hardcore room was all freeform at normal speeds.
I'd love to see more stuff like this cos you can only do so much with turntables, i dj myself but recognise theres more talent and a better result when you add in all these other factors.

I haven't bought one of these NEC Live tracks yet ... haven't bought any vinyl since booty calls. couple of months eh? but surely if its too slow you've got two options.
a) if the records on 33rpm, give it some serious crank-uppage-styleeee
b) spend some time getting the sound levels perfect then record it to PC, increase the tempo and burn to CD. of course buy the record first so you're not breaching any "copyright" rules.
