A friend and I are trying to discover the origin of "Heart of Gold." Obviously the AATW release (billed as by Kelly Llorenna without mentioning Force & Styles...) isn't the first appearance, and my friend thinks VERSE 02 is the original.
However, I know a lot of "anthems" are remakes of older house or euro tracks (i.e. 6 days, 4 o'clock), and I'm wondering if this isn't the case for Heart of Gold too. Can anyone here definitively say that the track is a Force & Styles original? Has anyone heard the lyrics or melody anywhere else?
I've done a moderate amount of digging on the subject, and discogs.com lists a few other tracks called "heart of gold," even a few that sound promising, labeled as house. However, I can't find a copy of any of them to listen to, and I'm sure the popularity of HHGTTG has prompted many people to use the phrase "heart of gold." Maybe it was called something else before it was hardcore-ized? Justify my love possibly?
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated :) I like knowing where my music comes from, even if the issue up for debate is a cheesy super-hit that probably should have died before it made the UK Dance top 20 in 2002 :p

rumour has it that ALL, or at least the majority of the Force & Styles vocals were actually taken from a CD from Spain and resung.
These would have included Field of Dreams, Follow Me, Shinig Down etc etc
if that was indeed the case, then i wouldnt be surprised if there is an 'original' version out there somewhere....

I always thought the Force & Styles anthems were original.

So did I but you do get suprised as a lot of Happy Hardcore were 'remixes' but I though Force and Styles wrote their own lyrics.
