Now im not saying i don't like hardcore anymore. I love it. But recently it just doesnt seem to call to me like it use to. I hate to say it but DNB is starting to move in on my hardcore territory. Its no longer 'THE ONE'. Its just part of the collection now. Just another genre in my library. What happend?

I've gotten sick of most of the nu skool that's coming out, still love hardcore just sick of the repetitiveness of the new stuff.

Why would you hate to say DnB is becoming a favourite?
Nothing wrong with liking DnB and hardcore.

I listen to hardly any "Uk Hardcore" these days most of it imo is complete pap

You're either:
A. Getting bored of the same sound from hardcore and converting to a different source of music.
or
B. Going through a small phase where you are bored of it, but only for the moment.

yeah this is why i stopped coming on ere for 5 mnth and why stopped producing for tht time too.

it bored me for a bit i mean people say breeze n styles are too repetative but imo there not half as repetative as most other hardcore artists which always seem to get praise: |

i mean yeah im not saying we need an original song everytime but not the same stuff for 3 years in a row.

ive started listening to other stuff l8ly like trance and hard dance hard house........im even making some trance n hardhouse atm.......bits ere n there mind.

I dont even remember when i bought my last UK Hardcore CD, must have been B14, will probably not buy B15 at all, at least i'm in no hurry buying it. Last ~10 Hardcore records i've bought were Japanese Hardcore.

Have to say im listening to DnB more n more n less of the traditional UK stuff (minus freeform and stuff like that). You must just be getting sick of the repetition, like me.

I have to say, I'm going through the same thing. I'm finding most of the hardcore tracks that are out now just don't do it for me. However, the likes of London Elektricity, High Contrast, Logistics ect.. Thats where it's at for me at the moment.

several dnb artists are rehashing old hardcore...I like a good mixture of both. most hardcore now you have to dig to find gems...don't stick to the main labels or you will get bored quickly.

yah, it's healthy to have an extensive palette.

The more genres you can listen to, the better.

I, myself, am enjoying house just now.

Bon Garcon - Freek U
Martin Solvieg - Everybody
Röyksopp - 49 Percent (Angello & Ingrosso Remix)
Hard-Fi - Hard To Beat (Axwell Mix)

....just a few of the tracks that are doing it for me far more than any hardcore track out right now.

Dunno what that song is but royksopp are unbelievably good, some of the mellow tripped out stuff is perfect.

I still like hardcore jus not the same stuff i used to, still give the uk and makina the odd mix but now it's all about old dutch rave, breaks and gabba.

Look beyond the repetitive nu style stuff and theres so much talent in the hard scene and the energy rush is wkd. Then for chillin i like trance (new and old), house (diff types) and old bouncy italian.

More music the better actually think dnb's top but there mc's are even worse than most the hardcore lot, so if anyones got any good mix without any "skibidibadibidiba" yardie bollocks please send my way

Oh aye and old jungles even better
