how do you know my mam's name lol
and just to clear some things up, we got her the cooker because she had her other one for about 26 years, and funny enough she said that the new one wouldn't last as long as the old one

i aint arsed about sexism, if u read my 1st post prob it does say "im not arsed", just sayin that i wouldnt get ma mum anythin to do with house work as a present, ur nan thing is completley diff!
I understand about it being an expensif applience, n mabye swansea's mum is a delia smith n loves the cookin thing! still not movin on i the fact its not just ur mum that would use the oven, where as if u buy her one with "To Mum" on it, i turns it into "thats yours"

my mam's being in touch with comet (where i got the cooker) and they are sending someone to inspect the cooker and the damage it caused. they suspect that there was a fault with the wiring inside the cooker.
they are also going to replace the cooker as i was insured, but my mam is going to have a totally different one instead.
next time im leaving the deciding to my mam

i'd hardly call my mam a delia smith, although she can make a great curry .
