UK members especially, take note!

From an Email received from CLSM -

Its your money!

Hi there, Radio1 dont think that hard dance (and that is Hard house, Hardcore, hard trance, uk techno, freeform etc) is big enough to warrant a show, despite having 29 hours of dance outside their daytime programming.

they have a charter which they have to follow, and that is to supply (in Radio1's case) programming of public interest to the young people (thats us). Not what they decide is cool. Effectivly, they are meant to supply what you like to hear.

Currently in the compilation charts is Helter Skelter presents hardcore classics, last week at no.2, this week at number 3. Last year AATW got to number1, bonkers is a regular top 20 along with hardcore heaven, Hardcore nation etc.

There is absolutly no denying that hardcore on its own deserves and has earned its 2 hour slot within the 29 hours, let alone hard dance.

Radio 1 has decided that it will not be changing its line up and currently has no plans to.

Of course, the public are not interested in hardcore or hard dance, so that wont matter as everybody listens to house in its various forms (breakbeat, trance, garage etc) or Rap/ R and B.

So it wont matter if the people who listen to that music get their radio1 money back from their license fee.

--------------------------------------------------------
To sum up, email the following [email protected] and explain how much you want back from your license fee and how you worked that out.

Or you can ring this hotline 08700 100 222 (this really is th complaints hotline), if you can make and post your recording it would be great to see what they say. Or write to

Write to BBC Complaints, PO Box 1922, Glasgow G2 3WT

please repost this topic in any hard dance forums,

even if you dont care about Radio1, at least dont keep paying for it.

GET ON THE CASE PEOPLE!!

Done. If enough people send complaints it really could make a difference, after all it is a genuine concern, they aren't delivering...

I'm listening to it right now on listen again. Maybe if with all do the same they might realise there's a lot of listeners. I'm sure they will log the number of times a show is listened to through the website.
