Having read the format of a lot of the posts, it's probably not surprising I didn't get many replies.

Source: An old and very well worn C90 TDK tape.
Event: DanceFest, possibly an Obsession run event.
Year: 92' - '94 ( sorry I can't be more accurate )
Dj: Slipmatt.

For as long as I can remember I've been trying to get the name of one of the many gr8 choons that Slipmatt piles into this gr8 set.

[b]Excerpt from tape....
The MC tells Slipmatt to stop.

Mc#1 (Without Music)
"Can we have some 1st aid at the stage plz" (repeats)
"Hold it down, ho hold it down, [b]Hold it down
"
Mc#2 (without music)
"Aii, ear da cry, I'll tell ya no lie, whoever's in control of the lazer, hold it down! a certain man can't take the buzz in town"
"Cut the strobe, bring the laser, Technician touching proper?"
.."DJ (slipmatt starts quick Scratch then stops)..Are you ready to play?"
"Slipmatt..and the aaaaaaaaaaardcore."
Mcing stops.

CHOON KICKS IN with Sped up Classic sample
"Party People let me see if you can dance".

Start of main riff.
Oh-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o Oh-Oh-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

Mc#1
"Time Time Time for the Hardcore"

main riff cont..
Oh-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o Oh-Oh-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

Mc#1
"Time Time Time for the Hardcore"

BreakBeat kicks in.

I really can't be anymore descriptive than this, short of actually ripping this part on the tape and including as an attachment !

Although I never actually went to this event, the tape is just one of my all-time favourites. Thanx for spending time to read this guys 'n' girls

It'll never be like it used to...

I'm not completely 100% sure I understand your reply m8.

What I do think though is that I'm destined NEVER EVER to find this Classic old skool choon that just blows me away EVERY tie I stick the tape on.

Please please guys. Come on rack your old worn rickity brains just a little harder. Maybe even just some suggestions. Even if you have THE same tape. "Hold it down, A certain man can't take the buZZ in town".

'Preciate it
