right heres the thing, i used to be able to play music from ma comp like all comps n just recently i must of deleated the software or summt!
the sound card is all good just no sound!
anyone done this or had anything the same happen??
any websites to download software or info for this would be gr8!

It may seem obvious but have you checked that the 'Volume' of your soundcard is turned up?

you might need to reinstall the soundcard drivers
if you have the install disk for the soundcard, insert it that and install it.
otherwise go to the website of hte manufacturer and download the latest drivers, prolly a better option.

I also had the problem when I set my computer up
Just untick and retick stuff randomly in sound control

if you don't have the install disc for your graphics/sound card take it out and then put it back in again and it should install the driver it'self. Do you have built in moniter speakers?

if you don't have biult in speakers check the cables and/or that they r plugged into your pc coz i had the same problem on my old pc and it turned out that my speakers werent plugged in...hope this helps

Make sure all cables are plugged in correctly including power cables
Make sure the drivers are installed (if not go to the soundcard manufacturers website and download them)
Make sure the volume is on (check that it's not accidentaly muted)
Then make sure that "digital output only" is unticked (this happened to me once i was getting really pissed that my sound asn't working then i just unticked it and it was back to normal).
If none of that works then I ave no idea maybe your speakers are fried or something.

cheers people will try some of these things, all cables are plugged it coz im listening to music through ma ipod plugged into ma speakers!
n yea i go have speakers on ma laptop! no sound wot so ever!
