Proactive recordings is a brand new label from the U.K, pressing hardcore, trance, funky house and scouse house.
The 1st release is "The krackhedz - 48 hours" with the original mix on the A side and the Hardcore Remix on the flip.

Personally I wouldn't advise trying to run a label with a mix of genres like that.

Anyway... will listen to the samples when I get a chance, always interested to hear what new labels have to offer and it's good to hear your using vinyl too.

And whys that then?
I know it to have worked for several labels quite successfully, AATW to name one.

It's just nice to know what your getting with a label T.B.H. You should at least split the genres to like Proactive trance, Proactive Hardcore etc.

I hate to buy a record that only has 1 side of hardcore and unless it's a must buy I will probably avoid buying it whereas I may consider it if there are 2 OK tracks on it.

I would not consider AATW a hardcore label (yes I know they may have a few hardcore mixes on there releases but very few hardcore DJ's would buy them) at all therefor you cannot use them as an example that this would work with the hardcore market. Maybe your looking to get most of your sales from the other genres though?

Thats right m8. Hardcore is not the preliminary genre for the label. There is nothing getting released that is original hardcore, just remixes of the original tracks. I thought you guys on here would appreciate that their is a very fine line between the hardcore scene and the scouse scene. The scouse scene is slightly smaller, but it's up and coming. It's not that I am trying to merge the two, it's just I am trying to appeal to all crowds, which I personnaly don't see a problem with. The attitude shouldn't be........"Oh, it's scouse" or "oh it's funky house, so it must be shit". The majority of the tracks released will be of an underground nature and should appeal to the likes of everyone who feels it is in their best interest to keep the underground vibe alive.

Peace out
Ash

That's fair enough mate the main problem with hardcore dj's though is the other genres are gonna be the wrong bpm to use in a mix.

Tune is very good BTW.

Good luck hope it all goes well for you will keep a look out.

starting a night with scouse then going into hardcore at the end of the night works well
