Australia is a hard place to be a DJ. thats why im asking eveyone if they know what i can do to start being a DJ in Sydney, i have a passion for making music, but the only thing i can use is music 2000 on my playstation 2.
i need some turntables and needles ect.... but i dont know where to start. Websites wont help cause i dont have a credit card. please tell me what to get and where to get it all from so i can make hardcore till i die

You won't be able to make tunes you can play out on music 2000. Any of the top decks from Technics, Newmark or Vestax should do you fine though my personal favourite are technic 1210's. I use Ortofon needles and they work well for me.

the best place is to make a trip into the city. i take it your into hardcore music which is why i suggest it. Oxford Street, 2 stores One Stop Deejay and central station records, they should be able to help you out and give you plenty of advice. They are located at about 30 oxford street and are basicly opposite each other (except one stop is in an arcade). www.recordsonline.com is OneStop Deejay's website so you can get an idea before you go in.

well ill try oxford st but its not the kind of street i would like hang around in for long. mainly because its gay central. but thanx i will seek it out

i did a bit of work around oxford street bars, and lets say i did have a few offers, one staight up offerred oral sex. It is alomost that bad.
But the end which the stores are at are a about 100m away from all that action, so you would be safe.
