I listen to: (D) all of the above and whatever else I feel like
I'm from the UK and I like saying: (C) Can I have a Corona please
I wear: (C) Either my Diesel trainers, boots or proper shoes
My hair is: (C) Messy
Hippies are: (C) Free to do whatever they like, just as I am
Hardcore should be made using: (C) Whatever it takes for you to get the sound you want to create.
Interestingly enough, did you ever see Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure? You know the guys in the future, how they all had ponytails, Rufus and all that. Well, the reason alot of the producers "back in the day" had ponytails was because they were in fact from the future, and all their tunes were made in the future using 6.0 THz Pentium Zebedee procesors, so that kind of dumps on your argument!

Unfortunately my good man, it's got about as good as it's going to get for the present time.
There is light at the end of the tunnel though - as soon as the scene disappears up it's own arse again (i predict some time next year), all the watered down stuff will die down and we can start again.
All this doesn't necessarily mean i think hardcore is shit because there are still many tunes out there that i love, but i do see what a lot of others are starting to notice.

good point
I think money has got involved to much here, if you asked hixxy in 1995/6 why happyhardcore was about, he wouldn't of said somthing like - well we want many new ravers as possible to visit our raves, we want chart hits left right and center and more of a bigger scene
he probably would of said, no - we are just doing this for a laugh in our bedroom studios and the only people who know about the small DIY scene are the ones with the noses. it felt so sort of DIY/Punk back then, I mean - bonkers was called bonkers because it WAS bonkers, now they are just using that title to sell the CDs, - we all know it's not bonkers at all - it's serious, the original intention is always the closest to their goal, keep it underground and fun I say.... I hope for a good future in the scene never the less.

Dunno bout new stuff but for best old bouncy techno should check out http://shop.rezerection.net/ it's quite expensive but my fav ones the awakening of 96 got a variety of diff styles. Pretty much all earlier ones are bouncy techno and the ones at about 97 are gabba. All well worth havin.

Pretty much to be honest mate there is a difference in descriptions somewhere but is that sorta style you mix together, basically old scottish/dutch hardcore from that time.
