Apartement or big ass house? I'm assuming the former...
Anyway, if you are in a small room, your better off with small studio qual monitors, b/c you cant play hifi very loud in an apartement, and you dont get the low volume fidelity ;)

Don't buy Gemini speakers they are crap! Not familiar with the first brand but for 400 Pieces you can get some really good small speakers that would give off a much better sound than them Gemini's.

i decided to get a home cinema amp for my room, i saved up and im running:
a DENON AVR-1803 reciever
with DALI BLUE 3003 series speakers (front, back, center etc.)
if you can afford it go for the home cinema amps in my opinion. They pack a punch (if you get a decent one) and can be used for much more than just music.

http://www.jbl.com/dj_speakers.htm A good place to start. There are so many good makes and different models of speakers out there I’m not even going to try and name them and pretend I know what would be best for you, all im going to say is get a name, one that is known and respected within the industry.
