im from sydney and i go to most huge raves here, happy hardcore always takes centre stage at every event!

drum and bass and gabber usually get the smaller areanas,
but i have noticed and i dont know if its true or if its just my observation but guy in sydney seem to like hardcore more then the gals
but yeh the happy scene is huge in sydney

Happy hard in brisbane is making a slow and subtle comeback.. i cant wait till it gets big here.. which i am sure it will..

still a record store that ACTUALLY SELLS some hhc would be nice (and would contribute to hhc's comeback)

Nah, I didn't go to Atomic NRG as I was working that night and the next morning and wouldn't have been able to get back home in time :) And yeah, a shop selling Happy Hard would absolutely rock, Silver, what say you start Australia's Master Wax master store up in brissy? :P

AndreeaFunks: what "huge raves" are you referring to....
i would call these the "huge raves" in sydney: back2basics, utopia, godspeed, mystic....

none of these have had (apart from fenix and morning anthems) happyhardcore in the main arena. and gabber or hardcore have never got individual rooms at even a slightly big rave as far as i can remember....
it usually goes something like this:

1. main (trance/hard house/nrg),
2. hardcore (happy&gabber),
3. drumnbass/house

otherwise they shove them into less rooms...

so what events are you talking about?

drugs is not the answer... drugs? is the question... yes is the answer

Hey :)

The HHC Scene is growing over here slowly , thanks to the help of our local dj's who are all really dedicated. Its mad to see alot of new dj's spinning HHC too. Our HHC Parties are getting bigger every week , and with awesome internationals coming over lately its only gonna get bigger.

i'm Stralian, i'm hardcore or is it gabba, or maybe cheese. hmmmm maybe i'm chabba i don't know, but i'm definately a raver. The Sydney scene has definately picked up over the last 2 years, growing on a ravely basis. As for music genre's there seems to be a fair spread at every party (but then again it depends on the type of party you go to) in any case theres always something for everyone.
