I went to one a few months ago, called Avcon at adelaide uni
mainly for the video game room, and the smash brothers and naruto tourneys
but I saw some cool customes, Im thinking of making a Blade suit from tekkaman (since iv never seen anyone cosplay him).

whoa.. ive seen cosplays before but never seen a mask like those in your pictures. Pretty cool if you ask me.
I still feel its kind of bizarre though to see what should be a cartoon/comic come to life.

I agree. When I first saw a cosplay convention I was kind of scared. But, I think it is pretty neat! I do not dress up though. ^_^;

I dont go to conventions, and i would probably never cosplay. I watch anime a lot (have over 200 anime DVD's), but apart from that and having few wallscrolls in the wall, i'm not that much into the whole "anime scene". Though i have no problem if people do that, and have seen a lot of cool cosplay pictures, mainly from Japan. Saki looks great :D Also around here there are no cosplay conventions, people usually cosplay on scifi, game and anime con's.

I'm curious, Whispering. Is your avatar of the younger girl in Read or Die?

I watched R.O.D. a little. It is a good anime. Not my style though but, definitely not a bad show. I have got to stay on top of these convention schedules... >_< Oh well, tomorrow is another day! ^_^ Kurumi until I die! o_0V

I've seen a few dubbed episodes and I was really impressed. I usually hate dubbed anime but this one was very well done that I'd watch the whole series dubbed if I had the money.

To be honest, i could never watch anything dubbed. Though i can agree that R.O.D costs a lot ;) I had to pay about $125 for the complete collection box set :p

Hehe, when i buy anime dvd's its subbed in english and dubbed in english. I dont see the reason why i would watch something dubbed to another foreign language myself ;)
But i grew up watching american (disney) cartoons subbed to finnish (unless it was aimed to children that couldnt read), i learned to read faster by it and i learned english by it. I saw no problem with it when i was a kid. Now, they dub all cartoons to finnish, witch is crap. Sounds horrible and the kids will eventually get used to it ...like you :p
