traitor?

*cough* it wasn't called freeform back then

LOL incredible! jungle is massive!

no teletubies and 'ardcore =P

you forgot gabber coming from the netherlands...good neophyte & stunned guys tune, needs to be played faster though

hardcore had restrictions put on it (speed & the sounds) and most of the kids in it during the down years weren't around back in like '94.

'happy' hardcore turned many people away from hardcore. and also the commercial-ism of it made people in places like the netherlands loose fans.

people like jon doe & dna were puting out some original stuff, but not many people caught on to it.

and roman...you said techno =P

hehe, it was real late when we did this..
i actually meant to say netherlands...im not sure why germany sprang to mind first, im gessing its because i said gabber in the context of anger? or maybe just that they are so close to each other lol.

when i was talking about freeform, i was talking about 1997 - i have a cd from then called "freeformers" and also "chemical X generation" off stage one, which has this whole speach inside it about "freeform"

wasnt gong to try and get too in depth with her though...just sticking to the basics :P

btw: Rowan* ya got the W upside down

funny but disagreeing on a lot.
but from ur UK point of view I guess ur pretty accurate.
Around here you'd have to explain darkcore, trancecore (not freeform, something totally different), speedcore, terror, breakcore, doomcore and noisecore with it at least.

still, it was entertaining :)
and the girl sounded so nice :)

Ok, your english, sounds great, and her sound is very cute. So i listened it all, pretty entertaining :)

Also, I learned how genre should be pronounced, i havent spoken english in so many years so i cant twist my tongue to say it ...but at least now i know how it should be pronounced :p

Anyway my favourite quote:

"So thats the diffrence, speed, so they stole the other parts?"
"Well, they didnt STEAL it, they just..."
"...borrowed it?"

:D

He was just teaching me a little general information, I don't expect to learn it all in a day to be sure...

Thankies for saying I sounded nice. I thought I sounded horrible and not at all as I do in my head.

lol triq you sound foreign to me and my northern accent

i am writing this whilst listening so it probably will be long

'like flowing, and airy, like, uhhhhhhhhhhh' lmao

*cough*TRAITOR*cough*

goddamn old skool, chipmunks never let any decent human singers do songs back then, damn monopolising chipmunks!!

how'd the lion get lost? cos jungle is massive

you're so ecstatic when MM gets something correct, you're a good teacher man, but then again teaching people who are quick to pick up on it is a pleasure, nothing worse than having to repeat yourself about ten times

the part where you were commenting on the gabber bass where you said sounds like hitting metal, better analogy i would say is like the guy smashing the huge like 3/4ft diameter drum at football matches

triq whenever i tell people i listen to hardcore they always relate it to happy and try and take the mick saying candy kids are idiots (i agree but that is different), people from outside the scene whenever hardcore is mentioned just immediately relate it to chipmunk vocals

and i agree the trancier core back in 97-99 was shitty and hard trance is just slower nu-skool

gotta disagree on that it is slower today than yesteryear, the hixxy, styles and breeze stuff is slower i suppose than what the equivalent back then used to be but the rest i see is faster and i agree with MM they have slowed it down to appeal more but selling out, i suppose it could be labelled as

lmao @ 'it makes me cry' 'i'll hold you at night then' but newer freeform is alot better now, i didn't like the earlier with as you called it 'airiness' as it resembled the happy sounds so to me was never neither a different style or the same as happy, it has now evolved into a whole different genre which i gotta say i prefer the faster more darker sound. maybe it is just me because i really like diversity within everything

what is the BB song you put on at like 32:10 with the pitched up vocals? choon

yay for monotonous, repetitive techno and the ignorant idiots that call anything remotely like it techno, lotta courage had to be raised to say it lol

personally i'd add a few things but you know far more than myself and abit about similar music

MM you sound canadian and giggled like a school girl lol

passed a fair bit of time, good listen

AIDS has a bad, unjustified reputation, contract it and see for yourself!!

Canadian!?

That is um, the first time someone has said that to me....
Should I feel insulted or complimented? LOL

Illinois is north in the US, but I've never even been near the border so...
Dunno.
