It's up to the individual. I personally try to make the most of a night out either way. I have had amazing nights with and without drugs (and I do consider alcohol a drug).

No, you don't need drugs to have a good time, but they sure can help.
I could go to a hardcore rave stone cold sober and enjoy myself on the great music and gorgeous women alone, but there is no doubt that drugs do enhance the experience.
When taking ecstacy you appreciate the music on a deeper level. It flows through your body in such a way the sober heads couldn't even imagine, you feel like you're part of the track, you talk to more random people, plus you can keep raving flat out for longer. It's not that i need drugs to have a good time, but they definately can contribute to a great time.

went to my first rave last night. i loved it, i never wanted to leave! at first everyone was just sitting around, no one was dancing, but then it started filling in. people on X started popping in and that's when everyone got up and danced. when it was about time to go, maybe an hour before, my friends and i decided to get up and walk over into the next room. a good tune started playing and we started dancing. =) my friend got offered X twice but she turned it down but this guy gave us lollipops. no drugs, first rave, we still...i mean, I had loads of fun and i can't wait till the next. there's actually one later today, a bit further from me tho. it's free. but i doubt my mom would let me go and i'm totally out of it.

like said b4, it's a choice but when they start acting annoying it irritates the crap out of me (last party I've been to there was this one chick who was just plain weird when poppin pillz, freaky and irritating)

You dont need to take drugs if you enjoy the music. I dragged my freinds to a house party where Dj Evenflo was spinning evil hard house (which was suprisiginly good) and I danced for 5 hours. They got there, bought ex, popped it, split and snorted a half a pill each 10 mins later, then smoked some weed, got a high intensity light show out of the poi dancers, did some coke, and we drove home at dawn after the buzz had warn down. I did zero drugs, had a GREAT F*CKING TIME. They did every drug in the book, had a GREAT F*CKING TIME, and my friend wants to do it again!
Lessons learned:
Drugs make people love electronica
When they're sober all they listen to is trance, and even then its because they're going to go smoke a bowl
Educated drug users are successful drug users
People on E are really fun, depending on the person.

i dont need drugs 2 have a good time, but i do takes some drugs 2 have a better time. i dont do pills, only coke and a smoke !!! oh ah dont forget drink if u wanna class that as a drug.

Yeh def agree with you about feeling the music, being part of the track, etc. Hats off to all the people who can last til 6am, dancing solidly!! Maybe thats coz im so unfit though!

Achohal can be really good people opening up and having a good time, as long as people can control them selves and be resposible but in all truth theres a bigger problem with self controll in weed sometimes when your real high you see you self doing things but your not doing it people need to be aware of that. but as far as boomers (shrooms) go they make you real chill and i dont think thats good for dancing. but I have been pleasently surprised with the feed backk on this topic it looks like most people have responded with either an open mind rejecting drugs them selves but alloowing othewrs to do as they please, or have responded speaking of responsibly using or drinking and thats refreshhing to me i hope that everyone can enjoy their music safely whether your drunk, faded, tripping etc. or not.

A rave without chicker heads?? No gurners or propper mashed peeps to chat some of the most random bollox to?? I dont think it would be the same.
I gota say, i dont do pills anymore, not because i dont like them, I end up havin about ten some nights and still didnt seem to get a propper buzz anymore.
The feeling when your at a rave tho, completly bolloxed, jumpin around and lovin the music is something els, completly different to anything i've experianced, i think those times are over for me now tho, i've been ravin an the beer over the last year, it aint the same as a few e's but i still love the atmosphere and the music.
The music and the ravers is all you really NEED, the rest is a bonus.

you dont need drugs to have fun but the truth to me is sumtymes i get so maggoted from alcohol n hav a good time, but the next day i feel like shit. After an E at a rave i have a shit time going thru the scatt but after its over i feel so refreshed & stress free! dont kno if im d only one who feels this way. To me everything is good in moderation.
