If u buy a cd for the actual mix, then it's better, it's more like a real scott brown set. But i know where Pheonix is coming from because I buy Bonkers for the new material and would rather hear full tracks.
I think his mixin technique is why he's bigger than any other UK hardcore dj in Spain. It's much more like BCN style than Hixxy for example.

It sounds boring, if i want an Scott Brown CD, i would buy one of hes albums. Bonkers is supposed to be a compilation not an Evolution commercial. *sigh*

ok some of you guys have metioned his DJ sets... I'm not slating them because i dont care if the tracks are 2 mins or 5 mins with his sets, they always sound ace no matter what, and he is a top DJ
i was just referring to the CD's... like what Jenks and Gobbo said, if he wants to have short tracks in there, then at least fill the CD! lol!
EDIT: When he is given an hour long space at Slammin, he doesn't stop 15 minutes before the end does he

it's probably so people don't steal tracks, whether it is by downloading, or just mixing off comp albums, not enough time to do that or it'll sound crap

I personlly find it anoying on a cd album. I love *Make you Freak* aswell, but why make a track 4-5 mins long and just play half its rediculous! I think its alright in a set but not bonkers. This is the one album where we can hear fresh new hardcore. I'd like to hear most of the track as I'm paying for the damn thing! its roughly $50 to get it here.

Your kiding right? if you get bored of listening to dance tunes then clearly your into the wrong genre. Maybe try listening to commercial rnb.

Maybe the mix had more tracks in it but resist could not get the license for them or perhaps resist told scott to cut back on the number of tracks after he had done the mix?

it's all hardcore.
As I was thinking back then. What about time issues? deadline that came ahead of him?
