WMA limits you do how many times you put the song onto CD & stuff like that.

ok check this out i got like 4 that were wma because thats the only type they support. burned all the tracks i got from imo and played them all
then i relized that the 4 that were wma were not reading on my player. so im like so gay so i got and try to convert these into mp3 and it says please check license??
how can i convert the files into mp3?

Burn them to regular CD, then extract back to your PC as mp3. Copyrighted files are just so stupid.

id say the best way is probably to get a program t convert the tracks. i use a program made by windows (Windows Plus Digital Media Edition) the program also lets you copy sound from your sound card so you can record your mixes. it only cost $20 which isnt much.

no u cant convert protected windows files.
lol nobody ever got wma's to cd before, i dont wanna convert anything anymore i just want them on cd so that my cdj-200 can read em so i can mix.

can u not just use windows media player to rip your music to cd? i think it works this way it just takes ages as it is restricted to a certain write speed, im not 100% thou

it protects from dumb people to give it away to others =P
anyways, imo it's fairly easy to by pass it, and burning the tracks to CD and then use a program to ripp the CD to mp3 is the best way not to loose the quality.
A quicker way exists, but you can loose quality that way tho (this still include alot of changing in windows still), so the burn to cd is the easiest way

As for what to use to rip it, i record all my CD's to my PC with iTunes. But CDex is also good.

always rip off cd's off IMO wma's.. i always need to normalize them anyway..

you can rip them back to mp3 format uing windows media player
simplty go tools>options>rip music then choose mp3 in the drop down box and the quality you want it (128, 192 etc)
that is on the newest windows media player, don't think it has it on the old one
