Forgive my ignorance ive been listening to happy since last year when my friend gave me a listen.
Recently ive been enjoying a bunch of Scooter tracks, a la endless summer, move your ass...
I dont know if you were to call this happy hardcore or more of just a trancecorish type style.. err Im confused as to what to call scooter since they have an MC and some of their stuff is really hard and fast, and other stuff is more Trance 4/4 buildup climax etc..
Plus im really lazy to look through the internet =P and was hoping i could get some light shed on what theyre all about.. And if theyre still around.

OK heres a wierd one for you. EuroTranceCore, thats what ive heard it called before. I would personally say its trancecore as apposed to hardcore. If u are wondering what hardcore sounds like take a listen to the radio on this site.

well.. i know what hardcore sounds like.. I have bonkers millenium madness, Hixxy's Noize, and a scott brown CD..
I mean I was just curious at what scooter sounds like to your ear. cuz he has track called 'our happy hardcore' and it doesnt follow the basic hhc principal of a sped up pitch, and cartoony sample vocals, and piano loops..

Scooter is not UK happy hardcore, it's just a different style, it's like just outside commerical dance I think somewhat.

Yeah i would agree with that. Commercial/poppy hardcore, its a silly sounding name but its not hardcore and its not mainstream dance.

I think scooter are..CRAP to be honest. I mean, happy hardcore is mindless, braindead etc, but thats just some bloke singin like a god knows what down a mic. For instance, their song "rebel yell" starts off good with the synthy bit, but then it turns to...how can i put it...A RAP.IT's some geeza singin down a mike with a beat in the back. I think that if they did more of the synthy bits they'd be a lot better.
Some people say its time to let go,I guess its easy if theres somewhere you know its takes the past out all these feelings inside, it keeps them locked up so theres no need to hide.
