hey ppl, right heres the situation.
I've liked this guy for a good 4-5 months now and we work together so we see each other alot. we have recently (over about the last month) started spending alot of time together, staying in and watching films and going to the cinema and stuff, and he always insists on paying for everything. He knows I really like him and we hav already slept togethr once, which I kinda regret now bcoz I think that may b all he wants. The thing is when I asked him, he said he doesn't want a relationship even tho it basically is like one already , and his excuse is he has not long split up with his ex and wants a break bcoz they were together along time. To be fair we do only get to spend 2 to 3 evenings together a week, but I kind of like that, it gives me the space I want. I think he might just be using me tho? what do you think is going on?

well im not to sure if he's useing you as a) he would be getting more sex b)not be paying for everything .it could actually be possible that he enjoys your company and doesn't want a relationship(at this point)

My roommate (a girl) is doing the same thing. She said she just doesnt want a relationship, eventhough she likes spending time with the guy. So i guess in your case he likes being with you, but doesnt want to be "24/7 with you" or being dependent of you. But thats just how i see it.
Think about yourself, are you satisfied as the way things are, or would you rather get it all or nothing at all?

well i think its quite obvious that this person really likes you otherwise he wouldn't be paying for cinema, meals, etc. if your hoping for something with him then take your time and be causious as for all you know this person might be just looking for a one off realtionship.

I'm no expert but, he may be what they say rebounding so take it easy. What the others have said is very relivent and he does sound like he genuinly likes you just doesnt want a serious rela as of yet :)

I sympathise! Been in a similar situation myself and it didnt work out the way I would have liked but we're still mates and that counts for a lot. Sounds like he's happy to be with you but doesnt want heavy commitment at the moment. Enjoy the treats, the company and the sex and it might develop into something else, if not you've had fun along the way.

Sounds like one of those friends with benefits kinda things.
If you really like him, its not bad to get attach to him even though he does not want a relationship. Who knows, maybe he'll learn to like you the same way.
I'm no expert when it comes down to love, as I have been in and out of it many times and gone through it's ups and downs, however I hope my advice may help in any way possible.
It is a rather strange situation, but if I were you, I'd stay with him. You need this sort of space, so take advantage of it while you can before you regret it. If it does not work out between the two of you, then at least you had your space.

Thanks you guys I really appreciate ur thoughts, i guess I shouldn't moan if I'm getting what I want anyway! I'll just enjoy it and not worry about what is/isn't gonna happen... it will work itself out I guess, I'm a sucker for all that fate stuff!
