I used to call it uk hardcore so that people wouldn't clown on me for saying that i play happy hardcore. It wasn't a respected style of music to play over here untill recently. i don't even call it happy hardcore now, I don't think I've ever really called it "happy" hardcore, and gabber was grouped into the same name
Hardcore

Happy Hardcore is huge in Australia. Pretty much all we produce over here is Trance, Happy Hard, Gabber and Breaks; there's definitely other stuff, but it's far from as popular as those four. I don't see any end to it, Happy Hard is on the rise here with more and more DJs playing it and it's beginning to supersede Trance (and about time too!).

Freeform, Uk Hardcore, trancey Hardcore???
It's all Hardcore....If the tune is 'happy'...then It's happy...Still Hardcore. If a tune is thumping...It's thumping...but still Hardcore.
Don't think anyone will stop producing 'happy' tunes though.
Once saw an AD on tv about a CD of 'sad songs'...??!? - Thought it was pretty strange.
As for 'happy hardcore' dying...look at the name of this site!!!
also the well known phrase.. 'HARDCORE will never die!'
**Notice it doesn't say freeform/UK Hardcore or anything else?...Hardcore!.
All this is only my opinion though.

Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad.
But never forget to remember
The things that made you glad.
I am a huge fan of 'Happy hardcore' and like other 'Happy hardcore' fans just wanted to see if it was still being produced. Okay cokay?
