Personally, I love it.

My fave breakbeat hardcore track is KFX004 - The Great Escape - Cloudskipper, Reese & Stargazer.

Mindblowing stuff.

Does anyone else listen to breaks? Buy breaks? Write breaks? Would buy a breaks album?

I want answers people!

Breaks are decent. One of my friends DJs breaks, and I get quite into his stuff, but it's far from the top of my favourites list. I would buy a breaks album, but it would be after I bought all the Happy Hard, Gabber and Hard Trance albums I wanted first.

I love breakbeats just as much as I love my kick-drums. I just wish more artists would support it.

I tend to try and play some breakbeat hardcore in my sets.... usually start off witht he breaks, before getting into 4/4 territory. Personally I love breaksy stuff... especially the vocal stuff: Takes Me Higher, My Immortal etc.... fantastic stuff

Breakbeat Hardcore has so much variety in it. From the dark heavy stuff to the more uplifting stuff.

Labels to look out for.
IDR
Next gen
Tilted
BBHC
B2VOS
Warehouse wax
Panic Project.
CLSM stuff
Some Ham stuff

And the Daddy that is KFA

To answer ryg0r's questions
1. Yes lots of it 2. Yes lots of it 3. No 4. Waiting for Audio Outlaws to be released on KFA (mixed CD album and a vinyl sampler pack with tracks from nearly all the KFA crew)

I don't care for breaks, they have great builds on them and just go blah. most djs don't realize that those parts are when you're supposed to be mixing =P it also needs to get it's butt into the 160 bpm range.

breakbeat hardcore on the other hand is the awesome. I find it sensational how much energy a track with hardly any kick drums can have.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed on total johnny being released on the create your own cds.

I wish jon doe would put out more breakbeat tracks, no trix was the bomb diggity.
