Didn't you know! thats how they judge dj comps, on how well you can keep between 182-190BPM I thought it was well known fact.

generally i prefer a tune to be sped up but from a dj'in perspective sometimes you do just need to pitch the occaisional tune down but you have to know which tunes you can do it with.

WARNING: never pitch down Toytown it sound bloody awfull

We cud go on allday about this and never get a conclusion. At the end of the day it all depends on the tune as to whether it sounds ok pitched up or down. Like i said b4 i personally think an old tune shouldnt be pitched up just to fit in an old set but thats just my opinion. However if an old tune that still sounds fresh today is pitched up you may hear of feel something new about it that you didnt feel or hear b4. This doesnt just go for hardcore its the same for all genres
