I would like to see some really happy tunes like stuff from Bonkers 3 Dougal comming back soon. With the load of lyrics and the soft mellow but fast beats. If I could DJ or produce I would start a style like that and call it Heart Core.

They have Terror Core and Speed Core but I would like something on the other side of the scale. I think that Happy Hardcore that is most common now is more "serious" than it use to be and I would like to have a high feeling like Bonkers 3 Dougal did. Also its the only one my girlfriend likes so really the only one I can play loud.

I feel when I say that, that I might cause an arguement or something for some reason as some people say that happeir style is really no longer and should stay back in the late 90's. As most HH Ravers I know call that the happy era.

I agree...I think the tunes of days gone by had more 'feeling'.

Whenever I get fed up listening to the 'newer sounds' of Hardcore, I play stuff from the 90's and it always does the trick. I've yet to get fed up listening to it.
I love the whole chipmonk era. Sadly miss it.
When those tunes came on...you couldn't help but smile...It also sends out more of a 'rush' than some of this new stuff...But hey, That's just my opinion.

haha heartcore =P

that's great if people want to start producing that but vocalists cost money, something most hardcore producers don't have a lot of...that and I think they ran out of 80's songs to rip =P

personally, I am sample based and don't care much for the sing-a-longs anymore.

I love my old style hardcore as much as the next, but when ever i play them in a set, i.e classic mix, then nu skool, the nu skool always seems to get people moving.

I like what Sy & Unknown, Seduction ect are doing at the moment, but for me, the nu skool is so much better than the old, it has more feeling to it.

Seems that there are quite a few of us that would like to hear more "happy" hardcore these days (*HINT TO PRODUCERS COUGH! COUGH!*)

Hopefully there will be a re-emergence of the old happy stuff, just like the way it used to be (when this was all fields etc.).

I love the happy hardcore sound and I think there has been a few tunes lately that have crossed old and new to make some excellent fresh sounding tracks (eg. really love you rmx etc.) but much as i'd like it I can't really see producers going back to that sound as it has been cained so much.

If you really look into it you can probably find a load of stuff fom that era you've never heard as it's the same old tracks that appear on the usual hmv cd's. Your best bet is to get an old record deck and dig around the shops for old records or maybe try and find some ancient tape packs car boot sales usually have some you may be able to feed your craving.

Not my Amy! She only cost a sunday afternoon!

But its true, most of the time we cant write lyrics for nuts and rely on other people lyrics. While some people lament the over use of 80's songs, I have found an untouched resource of gospel music

We are, slowly, working on just that.

.....don't hold your breath as we're useless at getting stuff done when we should....bloody useless.

If it's OldSkool that you like, but have never heard before, then check out an album that we did finish by clicking the link to our website -

Never a truer word spoken, when a great old school tune comes on and you just get that tingle of old memories and past raves/parties......its what hardcore is all about for me.....god i miss them days
