my 1210's are dual voltage. 1200's are exactly the same but they're silver instead of black.
the voltage control is under the platter and to the left.

I own a pair of Gemini SA 600's and for what I paid they are a damn good pair of direct drives. You can get a package with the PMX 140 mixer for about £400. People look down on Gemini as the budget end of deck manufacturers but they have made real improvements in image and quality of what they produce. Worth having a look.

I love my Gemini PT-2100s. Absolutely no complaints - except that they aren't magic tables that beatmatch my records for me :)

i'd say gemini's are closest behind technics and vestax,nothing else for that price comes close to gemini

Check out Stanton STR-8 100's. Got a blinding write up in Internation DJ magazine (here in England) recently, 4 and a half stars out of 5. A straight tone-arm is the main feature, and they've also been installed in some Ministry of Sound booths. Deffo worth a look.

Yeah the stantons ****in rock.. iwant a pair.. but i also want a CD deck so i can also drop in some tunes off cd and my own productions etc

Gemini, Stanton -- They both suck butt!!! Stantons needles are crap so are ortofons as far as i am concered. Ortofons are ok if you want your records to get eaten up!!! They best setup you can have if you are just a straight mixer is 2 Technics 1200 M3d a Pioneer DJM 600 or a alan heath mixer, and Shure M-44G needles. If you are a Scratcher then you want the same tables but a Rane MP-44 Mixer with Shure M-447 Needles. CASE CLOSED!!!!!!!!

i got stanton 505 needles and i think they're great,even with scratching,no problems.
as for a mixer,nothing too special but it's got 3 phono channels,which i need coz i have 3 decks (2x 1210 m3d and a crappy aiwa d90). it's a gemini ps-626 pro 2 and i can mix and scratch with it just perfect
a good cheap budget mixer

i feel you on that one mouse, it is alot harder to mix on caca decks, the mixer shouldnt matter. I was just saying what the best was. I used to have the 505's (yellow ones right) they were ok, but they caused a lil record burn. I am not a one of those moron djs either, I know how to propely calibrate my tone arm and anti-skate. If you are a scratcher, you have got to pick yourself up some Shure M-447's They stick in the groove like glue with only 3.5 grams!!! the M-44G's stay in the grove a lil less, but no biggie, however the sound quality on the 44-g is AWSOME. The 447 has a tiny tiny bit less sound reproduction but the bass has a higher output than the 44-G.
You should realy pick up some shure needles and give em a try, I'm positive you will not regret it.

i think that's why they're so good,coz they're calibrated perfect.
the amount of ppl i've seen with a 10p coin stuck on the cartridge with blu tack he he
i'll try out the shure ones once these cartridges have worn out i think
