agreed mike, but i cant help to think that 'toytown' was one of the main tunes that helped mould the hardcore scene into what it is today.
i was listening to the hixxy mix on bonkers 1 this morning on my way into work, and, of course, the first track is toytown. blew me away, lol. i have so many memories that just surface on hearing that tune, so i suppose that is why it means a lot to me. different for everyone tho init....

the mix of toytown on bonkers 1 tho i have to agree shits all over the plain sailing orginal mix.................such beeeeeef

I should of pointed out that if a Toy Town Mix for club land or something did happen, I would feel a bit down.
Toy Town was the beat that started it off for me in a big way. And I wouldn't like it touched except maybe done by Hixxy again.
Its a good point that someone made about original artists not having the respect of the work they put in years ago for tracks being released today by flip n fill or some other. The hard work is done already, and they get the respect and shouts. Its cheap.

Dont diss toytown, it helped shape hardcore you listen to today. Granted, you havent known about hardcore for long but you cant just jump into the whole scene and start slaggin off old skool tunes just because they sound different to ones you hear today. You get me??
I'm not really a fan of Toy Town....And i'm not new to the scene either, Around 11 years actually.... Eat dirt!

Exactly bodeba i remember when it first came out and to be honest i jus dont see it as a "definitive" tune at all pretty standard to my ears much better bests from that era. Folk i no always bang on about "your shining" an all and i dont get why people think it's so special, didnt really do anything new at time of release sounds pretty similar to loadsa other stuff to me anyway.
Musics all about personal taste and a lotta people have good memories to these tunes cos they were massive at raves when they came out, but i dont think cos you dont appreciate every tune ever to become an "anthem" that you must be a newcomer to the scene i just dont like it.
Venga familia!!!
