well i personaly love breeze and styles - they make good stuff, although it is a bit trance but thats just trancecore. and one more thing - they are making other styles of hardcore. if you have bought any tape packs from htid7 you would know what i am talking about cuz their new style is really cool - still trancey but not that much... heh

Listen to thecrazyg.
That has happened to Blues, Jazz, Rock, Punk, House etc etc....... and will always happen.
....Hardcore is an evolution of House.
The fun is in running with the evolution.

I've never bought a breeze & styles tune and I still love hardcore, so the answer is no =P

also what happened back then is that no one was really willing to experiment, and most of the larger producers started puting out different generes. a lot of good talent in hardcore was lost due to people puting restrictions on the music.

wow, look slike i wasn't the only one who thought different on breeze and styles..lmao wow and just on another thread i got chewed for some of the comments you guys are making on breeze and styles and freeform. how IRONIC HUH? looks you need enough people to say something about. well like i have said in another forum yeah you might know"wannabe hardcore sheeps"? yeah breeze and styles wow, well first off i don't like much of anything they come out with "don't want you" and "black magic" was the only thing hardcore i thought* umm and as far them doing trancey well thats what "hardcore" is trance speed basslines ...its happy hardcore witha upscale sound..i love hardcore but i love happy hardcore a little bit more. well i mean breeze and style are just following a cookie cutter thing i mean itsok but i mean they really are restricting themselves. alot of happy hardcore djs weren't venturing doing trance or anything and if they were it still was credible in the happy hardcore genre. Well as far as hardcore being restricting or whatever no its not at all...its just that most producers are amking a sound thats is gooD! don't get me wrong but when you really look at it they restrict themselves by just doing trance upfront when i think you can do both?

haha i thought i wouldn't post on a something like this but i mean have said the same thing but noone really agrees or really knows where i coming from..but thats ok..we are all hardcore* lol smile*

right, for a start breeze and styles aren't hardcore they are softcore.

next thing - you go on like I'm talking about my own music tastes with the same old replies like 'if you don't like it don't listen'. it's not about that, it's about me trying to save the scene for new comers, if they hear softcore they won't get into hardcore. Brisk and Ham should be representing hardcore and leave the softcore for the B&S

brisk needs to remix some tunes, most of his original stuff is starting to sound the same. I'm looking forward to hearing stuff that ham & robbie l. are doing.

i think sum of you are missing the point..........theyre not killing hardcore at all its jus people like different things ie the harder side/bouncey/freeform so if ya like sumthing more than others you gonna look at the stuff ya dislike and shout away as u av been doing.
if ya gonna argue that they all sound the same then i may as well bring sy n unknown up...........every single song sounds the same is it bcause there crap and cnt do anything else???not at all it is their style thats all.........look at scott brown most of his tunes are the same recently does that mean hes crap????or killing hardcore????its his style and yes i do admit they all get abit boring sumtimes i mean iv been getting closer to freeform jus recently and really enjoying it because im not in tune to wot the uplifting stuff/bouncey etc is doing at moment most of it is jus following the same path...........listen to the production comp entries.........am not being horrible coz my entry is the worst probly but most of them are jus copying wot theyve heard and are not that interesting.............. to me anyway.

so am not gonna babble on anymore but we need stop all this 'oh hes killing the scene shes killing the scene'bollox or were gonna be the ones killing the scene............for ourselves

mj-dream remember the name im here for fame

nothing wrong with bashing someone else's view as long as they can constructively criticize. and why do you keep saying people are calling you an elitist?

softcore? isn't that what they play on cinemax?

I for one could use some more "softcore" . its what really gets me going on a lonely night.

but seriously, B&S arent going to "kill" the scene... I think theyve made some good tracks, some definitely not so good but how is that going to "kill" hardcore? bring "sheep" into the scene and turn all commercial trance/dance? those who like hardcore will just stop listening to them.. and the scene will leave them behind, just like thecrazyg said. Hardcore will evolve, it might go through some hard times but it will never die just cause some producers don't make anything "hard" enough.

in two thousand four, it was HARDCORE

Let's face it, if Dougal couldn't kill the scene when it was wobbly in the late '90s then I doubt B & S will do it any harm now when it's nice and strong!
